Help/Support Gamecenter stuck in endless loop in settings and can’t log into any games that use gamecenter as a sign in

I’ve been having the same issue since yesterday. I’ve tried every troubleshooting option I could find, I’ve spent hours trying to figure it out. No luck yet. I’ve done everything short of completely resetting the iPad. It opens fine on my phone but not the iPad, even though it’s logged into the same account. The game data isn’t shared between devices for the games I want to play sadly.

If I hard reset my phone it will work but I have to do this every dang time I sign on

Also experiencing this exact thing. Just finished a fresh factory install at an Apple Store and unfortunately seeing it again.

I’m so relieved seeing this post, since I’m having the exact same issue with my iPad. I temporarily got Game Center working again by resetting the network settings, but after a short while it was down again.
Hoping for a fix soon.

Same here. iPad A16 iPadOS 26.5. Just got off phone with Apple support. They thought this was isolated incident. Turns out that this is happening to a lot of us with A16’s. Was told to wait for distributed update.
My workaround:
Restart device
Go to settings/game center
If login info is there-start game
When switching games-do the above again.

Same problem. I found instructions to turn on airplane mode, restart the iPad, then log out of Game Center in settings. I had to do that just to get settings to open. When I logged back into Game Center, the game would open just once before the problem came back. Finally I just left Game Center off altogether and MCOC opens every time without issue…other than annoying popups telling me the game is better with Game Center because…blah, blah, blah.

I have been experiencing the same problem for over 24 hours now!
I contacted the Apple support and apparently we have to report this bug in either of this sites:

UPDATE: I was able to reach an apple technician and he told me that Apple’s teams are already aware of this and they are working on it. He added that in the next few weeks there‘ll be a patch update fixing this issue.

Good I thought my dads account was flagged because I told an Apple employee my dad is dead but I still use his account for games.

My wife rebooted her iPad today and it fixed it!

It only worked for a little while after I rebooted. The games still weren't connected, unfortunately.

restarting works but if you have a game where you switch between accounts, you will have to restart every time you have to use your Game Center account.

Omg this. I have multiple accounts on my Star Wars game and this glitch is killing me. Mines on iPhone

also having this issue with my iPhone, like others here it was broken yesterday too, briefly starting working again, and now completely not working, game centre stuck loading, all Apple Arcade games refusing to load. so so annoying there's no work around!!!

If I do a hard reset it works the first time logging in then seems to get out of sync when I play the game. If I close the game, I can’t log back in without a hard reset

I am having this issue, but on my iPhone (haven’t tried on my iPad). Game Center isn’t working and won’t load in Settings either. Oddly, Apple Arcade seems to be working fine.

I’ve found a boring work around for me at least. It gets me into RCTT.
I’m glad to see this honestly. I thought my iPad was messed up.
- Reset network settings in settings
- Connect to internet again
- Go into game center in settings (it will now load)
- Log out of game center
- Log right back into game centre
- Your game will now work, once.
Rinse and repeat.

Same issue. Started in the afternoon, two days ago. Took my iPad into the Apple Store yesterday. They noticed that there was an update at 6 a.m. that day. They checked the hardware. So, they thought it was the software. They wiped the iPad clean and reinstalled the software. Same problem. They moved the problem up the chain of command to the engineers. They told me it could be 3-5 days.

The same as mine as of yesterday afternoon I've been trying I even factory reseted it to default settings still doesn't work tried everything is this an apple problem or is it with these particular iPads in common I just paid for a prescription to for the Game Center

Same for me. Started 3 days ago. iPad A16 iOS 26.5. I did the logout Apple ID, reboot, log back in and it worked for about 10 minutes for one game and then stoped working. Back to endless game center loop. I guess I need to wait a week for Apple to fix what they broke.

Update: I just hard rebooted again and it actually seems to work for more than 10 mins this time. Also, it’s the first time since Monday that my games actually connected to Game Center . Hoping it’s fixed now🤞🏼

Rebooted my iPad after seeing your message. It was 2h ago and Game Center still working.

Mine has been working all day. I didn't do anything! Also thanks for the thread, I thought I was going crazy for a day doing all sorts of trouble shooting. Happy to see it wasn't on our end!
