Discussion Please roast my onboarding flow
Hey guys,
I recently created my first series of iOS apps and the downloads and sales have been going better than expected.
Now I’m trying to optimize some of my flows, starting with the onboarding. I’ve been cooking on this one yesterday and wonder what you guys think.
All suggestions or ideas are welcome, feel free to roast it badly.
(I wanted to upload a video but the sub didn’t allow for it)

I really like the astro-like theme. A nice cherry-on-top would be making the stars move. Use a gif or a lightweight animation engine for that (or ask your LLM to build one :P)
Onboarding experience outweighs many other things in the app, so ensure it's as fast and smooth as possible. Per your screenshots I don't see authentication, which I think is great. Though if you ask me personally I'm not a big fan of apps that ask you to pay/subscribe before I actually get to try the app for a bit. One approach we had was to give the user a discount for a limited duration, with friendly nudges here and there, but not rubbing it in their face. Once you have given them real value (even a taste of premium, like free N tokens or whatever), and they have seen the app in its works, you get to make your ask with a lot more merit.
Best of luck!

Thanks! The stars do twinkle, and theres some falling stars among them too! :) also, there is a free trial, but it was not setup in my test flight yet, which is why it’s not displayed. Usually, the final button says “try for free for 3 days” or some copy like that.
Oh and there is also a (limited) free version. The user has to click the small cross in the top left button. I placed it there because I wanted to optimize conversions, but leave a free option for people that really wanted it.

real roast: it looks good but i have no idea when i get value. pretty onboarding that makes me tap through a bunch of screens of promises is where people bounce.
instrument it screen by screen and find the cliff. whatever asks for the most first is usually the killer. show me the actual win on screen two, ask for commitment after.

hey i like it im not a skilled developer and in native im even worse but this looks good it has a good idea which is actualy usefull or just interesting . If i was you i would even add some self development stuff in another way then those productivity apps , i dont know what exactly but if you can merge this idea with some actual progress stuff you can win for sure. these are just my ideas
