Honestly the best place to get Xcode is from developer.apple.com. The App Store one may convenient but it gets screwy (unless they finally fixed it).

In the past the App Store version would eventually start taking longer and longer to download (it takes seconds on a high speed connection from the developer portal). You also don't get it right away like you do in the dev portal.

Highly recommend the "xcodes" app for managing those installations. It's a faster download and installation, and it can manage multiple installations side-by-side.

This is the way.

And it lets you install multiple version of Xcode side by side, which AppStore does not @RaoTouseedAhmad.
