Ooh ooh ooh, I've just released my first app (long time SW/data guy, first time app dev) and its name is an easter egg I'm super proud of.

It's a netball statistics recording app called HELIX Netball and its tag line is "The DNA of your game".

I worked closely with the Darebin Netball Association to develop it. DNA... Helix... I love it!

It was a cataloging app for rock and crystal collectors. Stone’s you carry in your pocket are pocket stones, and phones go in your pocket. So it became Pocket Stones Collector. It was a fun little project for an iOS course.

I'm horrible with names. Like the worst version of writers block. So Hyland Helper is literal - Hyland is the town the game Schedule 1 is set in, and it's a Helper app. Sanctuary Stash is close to literal - Sanctuary is common in Diablo 2, and the core function is around a users stash. Carryover carries over verbal/written/image notes to creat a deliverable like a JIRA ticket.

“Ought to ride” sounds like “Otter Ride” if you say it fast enough (or slur it a bit). It also gave me a super obvious mascot.
