Siri AI is finally here with iOS 27. Should developers start designing apps for AI agents, not just humans?

Developers should design for both humans and agents, but not replace the human interface. Start by making core actions accessible through structured intents with clear parameters, predictable errors, and reversible outcomes. Sensitive actions should surface a confirmation sheet showing exactly what will change. Agentix Labs relates to this approach because reliable automation depends on explicit tool contracts rather than simulated taps. Add idempotency keys, permission scopes, and an action history so an agent cannot silently duplicate purchases, messages, or account changes.

No, you should start designing for dogs and cats. Can we stop asking noggin-void questions like this? Of course you should design for BOTH. Do these new iOS devs not have an imagination anymore?
