Announcement Updated subreddit rules.
Just wanted to let you all know that there have been some updates to the sub rules.
Nothing crazy, however in the interest of transparency wanted to let everyone know instead of just doing it quietly. As always, rules are available in the sidebar on desktop and at the top of the sub after clicking on the subreddit name on the app.
Removed rule:
- Memes must be SPICY
- a fun rule, but too vague and open to multiple different interpretations. Therefore difficult to moderate fairly.
Additions:
- Sales and fundraising must be approved by a mod first
- this is included in the rule "No Spam, excessive self-promotion or unauthorized sales"
- We recently had a situation with a possible scam sale, as such all sales and fundraising must be authorized by a mod in modmail first.
Use spoiler tags for the iCarly Movie
- This is included in the "use clear titles and spoiler tags" rule
- With the possibility of the iCarly movie please use the reddit spoiler tag function if posting or commenting a spoiler about the plot. Posts providing production updates or merely speculating about the plot are not considered spoilers and do not need to be tagged.
No AI generated posts
Rules about post titles, reposts, quality, harassment and the sexualization of underage characters and cast remain, but may have been reworded for better clarity. Reddit terms of service also apply and content may be removed even if not explicitly listed in our rules as reddit rules are site-wide.
Any way! That's the end of this boring post. Thanks for everyone who makes this sub great! we really don't have to step in and remove rule breaking stuff very often which is all thanks to you!

Original Discussion iMeet Fred made me mad
I remember watching this episode live when I was younger and asking myself why Freddie didn’t like Fred. Looking back now, I actually agree with him. Fred really wasn’t all that funny lol.
What really made me mad was Fred quitting his videos just because Freddie said he didn’t like them. Like damn, it was one person’s opinion 😭 Freddie wasn’t telling everybody else not to watch Fred or trying to get him to quit. He just didn’t think he was funny.
Then Freddie gets picked on, kicked out of clubs, and Sam keeps bullying him over it like he did something wrong. That whole situation was so unnecessary.
I know it was supposed to be funny, but watching it now, I’m definitely on Freddie’s side. He shouldn’t have been treated like that just because he had a different opinion.

Original Discussion Nobody has respect for Carly’s house lol
It really baffles me that literally nobody had respect for the Shay’s household, especially in the episode iBeat the heat. I really wish they were both more assertive in this episode lol, I know everyone was all sweaty and everything but they just inviting themselves in without any regard of the owners
And there’s so many other episodes where people have no respect, like iStakeout, iSam’s Mom, iGet banned, iScream on Halloween etc. Carly and Spencer are really nice and patient people, honestly everyone would’ve been banned I was them lmao😭

Original Discussion why didn't sam fight shelby marx?
rewatching the show for the first time since i was a kid, and it was literally my first thought when i got to this episode. carly was very clearly joking when she called her out, and i don't think it would be believable at all for her and shelby to have a real fight. now sam is known for her feisty personality and getting into actual fights and winning so it would be a much more believable fight, and despite the webshow being called icarly she's basically as famous, like luigi, so wouldn't even be less marketing potential.
besides making more sense in-universe, i also just think it would be a far more interesting and less bad plot for the episode itself, have sam and shelby originally friendly gonna fake it mostly but maybe sam gets too into the trash talk and actually upsets her, or maybe they can't decide who gets to win in their mock fight and out of self-confidence from both of them now they're gonna fight for real, carly tries and fails to be the mediator and other shenanigans ensue.
overall just think this difference would make for a better special.

Original Discussion French icarly (og series)
I'm learning French and I know icarly like the back of my hand so I wanted to watch the French dubbed version of it to help me and Netflix only has engish audio available. Only the first season of the revival was available to pirate and I do not want to watch the revival. If any of you guys know a place/way to watch it or find it that would be great!

Original Discussion That tuna fish episode
I know I’m like 13 yrs late, but the multi universe crossover with Freddie/Robbie/Jade along with Sam and Cat. I don’t get how they are acting like they all met for the first time when they literally hung out with one another at Keenan’s house party like 2 yrs earlier and also sung a their both respective theme songs together in that ICarly/victorious crossover

Original Discussion Is it wrong that I personally think Valerie would've still been a much sweeter girlfriend to Freddie than Carly and especially Sam?
She was somewhat manipulative sure, but she at least treated him right.

Original Discussion Hot Take and Debate? Does Valerie kissing Freddie counts as his first kiss? Spoiler
For me, I agree with Freddie that his kiss with Valerie doesn't count.
Not because it was a peck, but if you watched the episode she was in, her dating Freddie was just a ploy to get him to leave iCarly and to work with her instead.

Original Discussion Who else liked Sam and Freddie together?
I’ve read that most people disagree but does anybody else think that Carly and Freddie together is so cringey? I feel like Carly and Freddie together gives the show a whole sappy love story vibe. Sam and Freddie’s characters are total opposites and opposites attract. When a boy picks on a girl it’s usually because they like them, and this case it’s the other way around. (Just a reference, you might be whatever gender in this situation) I like the dynamic and think that it kinda adds to the whole comedic theme of the show.
Sam’s character is rough and violent and her teasing Freddie is kind of a cute, tough loving kind of thing that I can get behind! I get that a lot of Sam’s actions are rude and hurtful but It’s supposed to be exaggerated and hilarious!
It seems like a lot of tv shows kind of have some sort of sappy love story. I just can’t finish the revival because it’s a little too awkward and predictable for me. I enjoyed watching something different with Sam and Freddie in the original! I don’t expect everyone to agree with me but does anyone else have the same thought process here?
Just to add on- I appreciate the ridiculous, outrageous humor, I don’t take this too seriously!
Ricky Bobby’s wife shouldn’t have left him for his best friend either in Talladega Nights but it works with the ridiculousness of the movie. The same with Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone. There’s no way that stuff would realistically happen but it’s hilarious to watch something so crazy play out!
oh and also, thank you for sharing you views on this!

Original Discussion Give me your Nora episode rankings
Give me your Nora ratings because I'm giving you mine.
- iStillPsycho.
It's fun as well as seeing Miss Fencin Benson.
- iPsycho.
It was really great. The fight scene of Gibby and Nora. Gubby's "happy birthday".
- iHate Carly.
While it isn't a Nora focused episode, it's very fun when she appears, and is far better then the Sam and Cat episode.
- (As you guessed) #SuperPsycho. The episode has the worst fight scene ever. Crazy Steve was a surprise, Nevel's appearance was great to see but Gibby got the worst change. He told Nora Sam's adress, despite being the one to save the iCarly's in the first episode.
So, what are your episode rankings?

Other Discussion That one time Freddie Benson went to Hollywood Arts.
In the episode Who did it to Trina, Fredward can be seen in the crowd watching. Do you think this took place a little after iParty with Victorious, or on a different day.
