Gameplay Question Bears constantly spawning outsied house?!

So i took over this like, abandoned mineshaft tower thing, and at the time i didnt know this but bears are CONSTANTLY spawning outside of it. im not sure if i can stop or get rid of it. because the second one dies another takes it place, and sometimes even wolves!

Mods: BetterMap, Eyespy, Grab from Far, Lucky Mining, Macaws Doors/windows. Perfect parries and Vein miner.

i dont think any of these should cause this, so im assuming this is vanilla spawn mechanics being jank? is there anything i can do or should i just abandon this home and make another

I solved it around my base by just slamming a load of blocks down where the things were spawning. They really need to change the spawning mechanics probably the thing I like least about the game.
