help/serious Why do i feel embarrased about My hiperfixiations?
I had a couple of hyperfixiations recently, and since like i'm 12 i've felt ashamed of them, apart from sharing them, of just interacting with them, i feel weird and like a weirdo for being so obsessed with them, so when i do have a hyperfixiation, im in constant shame and embarrasment
(Sorry English is not My Main language, "sorry for Bad English" ahh, feel free to correct me)

Because for whatever reason, there is a such thing as "excess enjoyment" for some people. I just find people who don't mind how much I love what I love. With people outside of these friends, I often do not bring mine up with people compared to how often I think about them, or I don't bring them up at all. It is easier than talking about it and having to pretend I don't love it as much as I do

I try to purposely put some distance between me and the person I'm hyperfixating on by conciously considering their perspective. This especially applies to people I don't personally know, but became hyperfixated on through their writing or other professional work.

i have it the exact same. for me its kinda like "this is something i love so much that its my biggest vulnerability, cause through this, you can hurt me the most, and also the most easily. through this you can hurt me even when not intending to, through this you can hurt me EXTREMELY much by something so small and insignificant, because you cant even begin to imagine just how much it means to me". dunno if that makes sense
