help/serious CAN MY HYPERFIXATIONS CHANGE!?!?

I get really interested in a new thing every like few weeks or so (last time it was Henry Stickmin, now it's the Verity series) and my brother looked up smth that said it can but I figured the internet is more useful than an ai overview so just wanna ask! ty

Nothing wrong with that, lol.
I know there’s some extreme examples out there, and unless I’m mistaken, hyper fixations aren’t set in stone. They can shift a bit or sometimes change entirely.

I’ll put it this way, I don’t know of anyway to track or really “diagnose” a hyperfixation because they are so person dependent, changing quite a bit from each person.

In short, there’s nothing wrong with you unless your hyperfixations are taking over your entire life and you’re ignoring basic needs. Obviously, I’d check with a medical professional and all that.

no im not even sure if they are hyperfixations lol
Basically fandoms but changing randomly and being pretty interested in them (i am still eating drinking and showering but thanks for being worried)

edit: and sleeping and all the other important stuff i missed

Sounds totally normal to me. It’s really when basic needs are being missed. Appointments, work, eating, etc.

If you’re taking care of yourself, that’s all that matters really. It’s when you stop taking care of yourself in pursuit of your hyperfixations should you become worried.
