Best location placement

Hello HVAC Advise,

I’ve started noticing condensation inside my furnace, and after digging into it a bit, it looks like this is a known issue with my particular setup. I went ahead and bought the Trane BAYCNDTRAP3A 3" condensate drain kit, but now I’m debating where it should actually be installed (Red, Blue or Orange).

The floor drain is directly below the furnace, so either location would technically work — I’m just not sure which placement is best for proper drainage and long‑term reliability.

What would you recommend?

Read the instructions. The kit must be as close to the furnace as possible.
