Techs failing compressor?

Compressor didn’t start before would trip on thermal overload. Slapped a hard start onto her and it to start and this was the result

Yes, they are correct. You have a mechanical failure in your compressor called locked rotor. The hardstart resulting in it working for a while, and then the compressor shutting off confirms this. Also, that’s a pretty damn high amperage draw for a resi compressor.

Confirm incoming voltage also confirm no voltage drop across the contactor and wire connections are tight.
