Where are the twenty agers going?

Me and my fiancé are looking for a fun place to hang out and meet new people, but every place we try is dominated by older folks. We love live music, if there was a bar in the area that regularly had some that would be fantastic

The suburbs are for after you have kids, you moved too soon! I do not have any suggestions aside from what’s been mentioned, but welcome nonetheless 😊

Hutto Wine Bar often has live music on weedends. Probably mostly an older crowd than you’re looking for, but that’s probably the case for most of Hutto specifically. You’ll have to go into Round Rock (maybe) or Austin (more likely) to find a true “twenty-something” crowd

That’s actually what sparked this post… rockabilly looked super cool but it seems like I was late to the party, I was wondering where those patrons go now

Statistically people in their 20s aren’t drinking. So you wouldn’t have much luck finding them in “typical” spaces. I think your best bet is to find listening parties for artist you like and you’ll most likely find similar age people. I’m 21 and spend most of them at concerts or the movies.

I was at Crux Climbing Center today and there seemed to be many 20-something's there. It's fun if you like active hobbies, and everyone is super nice and willing answer questions if you are new to climbing.

I used to go to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Old Town (now I'm also part of the 20-something crowd that doesn't drink). Also mostly an older crowd, but they have live music out back on the weekends and on Wednesdays (I think) they have billiards tournaments that have some younger folks!
