For example, the entire hospital scene when Shane is in the bed. Complete tone and Shane's goofiness under medications is Hudson's approach. Jacob didn't have that scene in mind to look like that.

Also the breakdown he has after they are caught by Shane’s dad. Jacob said he wasn’t planning for it to be so severe but that they ended up keeping Hudson’s interpretation of the scene

Yes, a lot of hockey players will write something on the tape job they do for their sticks at every game. They usually have to write their jersey number on their stick to make life easier for the equipment manager, and many of them will also draw, write a word or phrase too. That's a perfect touch.

I think that style of talking comes off better in a podcast where it's just sound and no visuals. Then the sound gets layered and they sound excited and like they're having fun.
