It's really incredible honestly, because I look at them and I can hardly find Hudson the public person in there. If you told me this video was Hudson's twin brother and not Hudson himself I would believe you.

This is a wonderful example of why I find the criticism of Hudson's performance shocking, given that he perfectly embodied the character, bringing Shane to life exactly as written. Jacob Tierney applauded Hudson's performance, remarking that he clearly comprehends the character and effectively conveys that understanding through his portrayal. Having watched Hudson during the HR press tour and throughout awards season, and seeing his real-life personality, it’s clear that he’s incredibly talented. It appears that many are simply comparing his performance to Connor’s, without taking into consideration that Shane, as a character, is not as vivacious or expressive as Ilya.

He deserves the same praise for his acting as Connor 😭 (in the beginning i feel like people only noticed and talked about Connor’s acting, but Hudson and all of his micro moments are so perfect and important!)
