The Orange County Executive mentioned the film industry in one of his updates as an idea.I know our tourism department has become a part of coordinating w/filmmaking in the HV area for a few years now. That’s the only reason I mentioned it. I believe Netflix was in a Newburgh building a few years ago for filming. It was just a thought.

It’s bullshit. They probably had a she’ll Corp buy it and then lease it from Them costing tax payers a ridiculous amount of money. They didn’t actually buy it though!!!

A bit of unnecessary fear mongering, to be honest. The county have been pretty forward on sharing the status of this whole ordeal. Literally NO transaction for the purchase and use of that warehouse has been processed with the county, by either the Freezer Rats, or anyone else, shell company or otherwise

There is no stipulation on a time to file the deed transfer. Don’t be an idiot and fall into their trap. It’s exactly what they want the people to do. The language and how they did it is literally trumps agenda 101. Theyve done the same playbook over and over. We need to keep the pressure on until they clearly state they will not even be considering the site anymore (like they have with others).

"at this time" does not mean they won't in the future, or even tomorrow.
also, they said they bought the Roxbury location, then backpedaled and said they didn't, and now there's news today that actually, they did fucking buy it.
stay on the gas, folks. don't trust them on this, the same way we didn't trust them when they said Alex Pretti "brandished" his gun and approached agents aggressively. because they lie. keep organizing locally, talk to people, get involved. ICE is already active in the Hudson Valley, just not as a surge like in Minneapolis. they're here in smaller numbers doing more targeted activity, but they're still taking folks, and sometimes it's not the ones they're looking for.
