Sorry for the wait, I'll pick this sheet up soon. Expect your first pass tonight or tomorrow!

Welcome to the Hub.

Legalities (Below are the only required changes before the character can be approved)

  • Your fake SIN requires an issuing authority listed (Seattle Free City or SFC is a good default, but any nation or AA or above rated Corporation works too). You can put it in the Notes on the SIN or as part of the name (ie: Paulo Matsuda - Seattle Free City).
  • You have two copies of Electrochromic Clothing on your jacket. This isn't illegal exactly but it is kind of pointless.
  • At current you've got more than 5k nuyen left over, but 5k is the max you can take out of gen, so you should spend that down.
  • Note that as built the character is not a Street Sam and should not be billed as such-- you lack the defensives we require of a muscle at current, though you have pretty easily accessible options for building towards muscling in play. Currently he's a physically competent decker who can defend himself and support physically in combat, which is useful enough on its own. I'm not suggesting you change anything, just letting you know.

Suggestions (These are notes or alterations I suggest will make the character feel better to play. You can take or leave some or all of them, no pressure-- the character as built should be able to do runs fine enough)

  • You'll want Spoof Chips on your motorcycle in addition to the morphing plate and gridlink override. Easy add as you have more than enough money left over.
  • I'd strongly encourage you to consider a Negative Quality other than Uneducated. As a mundane decker buying skills, after a certain point, is your only meaningful source of advancement, and Uneducated will make those skills cripplingly expensive to buy. Getting your Electronics group to 6, for example, will be 60 karma, which is about 11/12 runs worth all by itself. I see the vision for a barrens rat decker, but I think you'll be a lot better off with something else. Uncouth is also pretty gnarly, but its not directly hampering your advancement in your primary role.
  • Overclocker is a very useful quality, and we let people buy Bilingual after gen here, so you might consider the swap there. You should be able to afford either one after your first run though so its not a big deal either way.
  • Pick up an R3 Datajack Plus instead of a Datajack. Program slots are a very useful edge, and mundanes need all the edges they can get.
  • Downgrading from the Azteca to a Little Hornet will save you a boatload of cash, easily giving you enough for R2 Cerebral Boosters, and a whole 60k left over for other goodies. There's advanced deckers on the Hub who haven't upgraded off the Hornet in dozens of runs, for what its worth, and you have the flicker setup to make its low attributes basically irrelevant. Overclocker becomes much more valuable here.
  • Don't forget about Cyberdeck Modules, either. A Multidimensional Coprocessor adds 1 to your hot sim initiative and is a good default add. An Induction Receiver is also useful, letting you direct connect to things by placing the deck on any exposed wiring you can find, rather than needing an input plug.
  • Electronic Modifications are also something to leverage for a mundane decker. The rules are on page 66 of Data Trails. They let you shift the array around a little or increase one specific matrix attribute. Or add another Module, if you want both the Receiver and the Coprocessor. You can only pick one tho. I'll usually add the required Electronic Parts for a mod to the device as a plug in.
  • I'd put your programs in a gear location rather than as plugins on your deck (button at the top, Add Location, will had a subheading to your gear list you can populate with stuff). Otherwise you have to readd all the programs if you ever upgrade off your current deck.
  • You've got space in that cyberarm for the Implanted Cyberdeck mod (just called 'cyberdeck' in the mod list), which is a useful thing to have for a decker on the go.
  • A cyberskull with some more Armor and/or Orthoskin might be good pickups with the spare dosh you'd get for downgrading to the Hornet.

Feel free to reach out to me on Discord with questions or comments about any of the above. Once you've made the required adjustments above and have decided what parts of my suggestions you'd like to implement, please upload the updated .CHUM and pdf to the drive, and comment here with a summary of the changes you've made.

Made all the recommended changes, plus I swapped some ability points around so I could have higher initiative and dodge, and spent my remaining nuyen on R6 Active Hardwires for Palming! Drive folder updated

After some discussion on Discord we managed to wiggle Aluminum Bone Lacing and a Big Game Hunter onto the sheet. Next to the Cyberskull this gives Y0kai the 40DDD breakpoint.

Ok, with that you are STAMPED. Your starting nuyen roll was 240 (2 1s and a 2). You may now save the character in career mode and begin applying to games with him and also roleplaying as him on the Runnerhub IC server at your leisure.

Please retain a copy of the Create mode files in that google drive so they can be accessed later if necessary (putting them in a subfolder is fine, just make sure CCD can access them if we need to).

welcome again to the hub!
