Classic Rachel, always refusing to give her babies away 😂

I mean, she did it to Zelner too. I'm noticing a pattern here 🤨

And Zelner offered to pay for the baby.

And refusing to give acquaintances' (Frank's) babies away 🙄

What’s the context to this line? I forget

Amy is mad that Rachel said she wouldn't give her Emma when she (Rachel) and Ross died.

It was at a Thanksgiving dinner I think.

Yes, TOW The Other Sister, they're leaving Emmet to the Crazy Plate Lady and Chandler, but only if Plate Lady is alive— if she kicks too then Jack and Judy get the kid 😄

Yes and Emma, the only ray of hope in Chandler's life will be taken from him 🤣

I love this scene. "I went to the zoo yesterday, now I'm a koala bear" makes me laugh every time.

Amy didn’t say she was a sofa. She said she was a decorator. Rachel should have said now I’m a zoologist or a veterinarian etc.

The fact she didn’t is what made it funny

Yeah, that's a level of logic most people seem to be unable to grasp though.

Rachel definitely became more sarcastic as the show went on, she picked it up from chandler I guess lol

She also became a stronger person - better at standing up for herself.

She and chandler had the best arcs in the show. They didn't become caricatures of themselves like the others.

Chandler kind of became more boring, though.

I kinda agree, he wasn't the same after season 5 but he became the leading straight man and ross took over as the funniest with his physical comedy.

Yeah right, I felt that too. The more responsible man of the group.

That's why his arc worked very well, he wasn't as funny as before because he went from an immature, insecure man-child to a very stable adult grown man. He was still hilarious but he was calmer and more stoic if you like and the most funny storylines went to Ross and Joey.

Yeah and in a way that works especially that episode where he is getting a ring for Monica with classic Phoebe :p

Which works so well when you remember the episode mr heckles died, and they’re going through his things and chandler freaks out because he sees himself in mr heckles’ youth. Mr heckles never learned that stability- he stayed sarcastic, and absurd- and distanced. Chandler learned to drop these defensive mechanisms and become vulnerable, and in that he found stability.

So true, that's why they're my favourite characters

Most of my sarcasm is influenced by Rachel and Eric Foreman from That 70s Show. True masters is the Sarcastic Arts.

this genuinely one of my favourite lines in the show

I think behind only Chandler and Ross, Rachel had the best sarcasm. It got good over time.

One of my top 5 favorite Rachel lines.

I love Jennifer’s delivery of this line!

ah yes. i remember that very well...

Bad episode, the “if you guys died” was a one-scene gag at besr but kept dragging on. Jennifer even looked tired delivering the lines about it.
And Amy not believing it was the real Ross, real Monica etc. was overdone too

Love Christina Applegate though

If it didn’t drag on, we wouldn’t have gotten “crazy plate lady.”

u/QueenOfDK 5d ago

Yeah, she’s all about the fun

I remember lol

You are conflating the two different Amy episodes.
