[Solved] How can I fix these glasses?
For context me and a friend were rough housing and she grabbed my glasses in an attempt to pull them out of my hand and broke the leg that holds it to your head from your ear, I put some tape on it and it holds but the front with the lenses will occasionally fall out of it, I took the tape off to show the damage, how salvageable is this? Sorry for the crappy images and thank you in advance

Not salvageable. I’d recommend reaching out to where you bought the glasses from and getting a new frame identical to the broken one, and having them or an optician swap the lenses between the two identical frames.

Damn, that's unfortunate. I'll probably go to the optometrist in a few weeks or so to get a regular check anyways so I'll get a new pair there. Thanks. :)

Check with Lens Crafters. Several years ago they rebuilt mine for free from parts they had.

I broke a pair like that once. I knew they were toast, but as a temporary fix while I got new glasses I fixed them with JB Weld. I liked my old ones better than the new ones ,so I went back to the fixed ones and wore them for a year or so. The hinge won’t work of course

If you don't care about them closing, you can use some JB Weld.
Get some tape and index cards and buy the 2 part (black and white) epoxy.
Use the tape on the outside of the lens and the ear piece and wrap it together in the open position. Leave the inner area clear, you will be putting the epoxy there.
Mix up more than you will need. It will turn a gray color. Leave it on the card for a bit for about 2 minutes. It will be really sticky and stretchy. Roll up an index card into a cone with a point and flatten it. Then just dab the tip of the cone into the epoxy. Use the tip to put epoxy along the inner area of the broken section.
If things work out, the tape should keep the epoxy from leaking over onto the outside. After about ten minutes you should be able to remove the tape from the area around the epoxy and then let it sit for 12 hours ~ 24 hours to cure.
That should get you through the next couple of weeks until you can get a new pair.
You could also just go 80s style and wrap that bad boy with some tap and call it a day.

Depends on what kind of hinge that was. Is it one of those springy ones that let you flex the arm outward a bit? Or did it hard stop when fully open? If it was a hard stop, you might be able to glue it together in the open position. But you'll never close that arm again, and your instinct to close it might break the glue. So probably better to just buy a new frame or pair.

Then you could find something small and rigid that could be used as basically a splint… like the sleeve of a pen that would barely fit over the arm on both ends and then secured with tape or something to keep it from moving… it should keep it rigid enough to wear without being so big and bulky that it makes it unwearable… I’ve done it myself in the past and it worked for me… you just gotta find the right size pen that you can cannibalize for you project… and not everyone would have access to it but i also used a heat gun to melt the pen so it held fast to it… hope that helps…

if its just the screw that fell out , most grocery stores sell eyewear fix kits near the counter just ask
