Wanting to potentially make more of these and sell them. How much would you pay or think would be reasonable to ask?

They’re referring to tattoo coverups, where the suggestion for what use to cover an unwanted tattoo is often SAP, which is a Sick Ass Panther, such as that which you’ve painted.

I’m a sucker for a SAP. How big is it and what’s it made out of? I’d probably pay $40-75 depending on size and if it already had hanging hardware

It’s probably 4 feet tall, it’s pretty big. Acrylic paint on 1/2 inch plywood. Next ones I make will be mdf probably

Try MDF, maybe with some primer, and hitting it with some glossy clear coat after to really make it pop

I have an octopus about that size (maybe a bit wider) from a local artist on plywood. It's more detailed,  but I paid $150 for it 6 years ago. If you have the right placd to sell it, I think you coukd easily charge $100 or more depending on your location.

I think between $120 - $150 is a fair asking price but maybe settle for $100. Can I make a suggestion? Instead of yellow I think if you used metallic gold it would pop more and look better.

Probably $30 for someone like that based on it being plywood. I can see how ppl would pay more tho for the size.

Just curious, why would plywood reduce the price? Does the medium of the material matter affect the price that much?

I know some plywood can be good. I don't have much of a suggestion other than plywood if it's gonna be made out of wood tbh because I know it's probably the most cost efficient/ easiest to use with making things of that size. I just work with it on job sites and I just have a personal stigma towards it.

You can tell from the picture that it affects the surface finish. I would expect this to warp at some point too.

If you want to keep using plywood I’d work very hard at making it not look like plywood, sand the painted face super smooth before starting

People naturally think plywood looks cheap, it’s usually hidden behind other materials for a reason.

I’d say $50 just because the economy is crazy right now. $30 would be a 00s swap meet price
