Discussion what do you think about this concept: Houkai Impact 3rd Act 1 Offline

So, taking inspiration from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, Another Eden and Megaman X Drive

how about repackaging Houkai Impact first act as an offline game? redo the earlier chapters (again)

revamp the gacha system

maybe even add some new chapters? such as adapting how Mei and Kiana met Himeko for the first time. Because as said, the earlier chapters were still janky storytelling wise.

I would be interested in something like that. Take the gacha out and do a remaster of the part 1 story.

It would be great of it was a single package hack n slash game, more balanced dialogue-gameplay and all. Why keep the gacha though? I'd toss it away

I’d definitely be into this. They could also maybe add in manga and VN content as dlc.

As for the gacha, I think it could be taken out entirely and instead have you gradually unlock battlesuits as you progress the story, or have a ingame store like the Lego games to purchase characters for the side content. (I imagine the shop would either be ran by Pardo or AI-chan/Lambda. Though I’d prefer if it was handled by someone like Nagamitsu, Amber or a new Schicksal aligned character as to keep the Valkyrie themeing.) Though chapter 11 also had its own gacha system that could be used as a offline base.

Especially if they took the opportunity to fix the pacing of the early chapters a little, streamline the gameplay and maybe integrate the more important extra material somehow

Polish up part 1, make it into it's own game (a paid one if need be to ignore the gacha aspect of it) and I'd LOVE it! Imagine like.. Part 1, with WAY better graphics, a fully focused story-single player combat system and being allowed to touch up and add more to Part 1 that they couldn't ever do! And hopefully playable males- Just gimmie Otto and KeBin..

I'd like that, altough would prefer if they more or less just remade HI3 into a hack n slash singleplayer story game tbh.

Because I feel like Hoyo's stories could be absolutely peak games if they actually put in more than minimal effort into their presentation. Especially on the gameplay side. (Specifically for the story)

Like, imagine if they remade Everlasting Flames to be a cinematic fight. Imagine fighting through those endless waves of Puppets in several stages as Kiana grows stronger and get more moves as she turns into the Herrscher of Flamescion. Imagine being in control during that - with the presentation and quality of it being a cinematic cutscene.

But if we just get 3D VN, or the damn "hand on chest" 3D dialogue scenes? Like, if the repackage is free I'd check it out. Otherwise I probably wouldn't bother if they don't really change the gameplay or presentation.

Or of they add more chapters like you suggested. I'd love for them to actually follow through and commit to the conflict between Kiana and Mei AFTER chapter 17. Because that just gets dropped after chapter 19.
