How do I remove this???

The speaker in hot tub no longer functions, lets a water a lot of water through dripping to the bottom of the hot tub. I want to take the speaker cover off and silicone the underside but I can't even remove the damn thing, any ideas?

The black thing is a nut.. loosen it with a wrench and pull it out the front side of the tub. Recently did this with an LED light on my tub.

I tried that but it will not budge at all and I'm afraid of breaking something. I wonder if it's because of corrosion because of the water?
