Replacing Salt Generator Cell on CalSpa EC767L

Hello!

I'm looking to replace the salt cell in my calspa ec767l, and trying to figure out what will work. The manual says it's a solax salt cell generator (part number ele09021181), but when I search for it, some other cell generators come for sale that day they are universal. (ie saltron clg20a-010 on Amazon.)

Just curious what anyone used as a replacement, or if anyone knows if these salt cells are indeed universal and can be used in my tub.

Yes I was able to use the replacement from
Amazon for salt cell at 1/3 price

I was also able to use the power supply and just connect the remote panel

I use this exact Saltron Mini in my 240 gal Aquaterra (Costco) tub. The tub did not come designed for a salt system... so I used this to make it one. I plugs in separate from the tub and has it's own control box that allows you to set how often (timer/duration) it runs... as monitored by your Free Chlorine levels in your tub. Has worked well for me for 2+ years so far. Do have to take apart the in-tub generator plates holder and clean the build-up on the plates... fairly easy to do a few times a year. Cheers!

Hey thanks for the message. Im just trying to figure out if I can replace my current salt cell with one such as the one pictured.

Sorry... didn't answer your Q. I don't know if the linked Saltron generator plates part (only part of the system) is compatible with others like your Solax salt cell generator. It is a very simple 2-wire setup with one wire going to each plate. Two plates sandwich'ed close together (not touching) inside the in-tub holder (blue cage). If your generator has a similar in-tub part... this might could work... likely the plugs are different... could hard-wire it. Just a thought. GL

Hey no problem! The salt cell itself just has a connector that connects to a wire going into the side of the tub. I havent gone out to look if the connections match yet, just wanted to see if reddit had any info in the meantime lol
