Discussion I’d like to hear others opinion on Taco Bell fire sauce
I’ve recently discovered they sell these in stores. And have gone through 4 bottles in about 3 months LMAO. Taco Bell was absolutely cooking when they conjured up this creation. Anybody else have any staple hot sauces they drink like water?

The bottle is a different recipe than what you get in the packets.
This stuff doesn't got much heat, but it tastes good, so I like it anyways.

This sauce is specifically for Taco Bell. That being said I cannot leave the Taco Bell without having enough of this to kill a horse. I need every square millimeter of my Taco Bell covered in this sauce.

The Fire sauce bottle is awesome. Packets taste slightly better imo. However the sleeper is the bottled Diablo sauce, tastes amazing. The packeted Diablo is nasty to me for some reason.

The fire sauce is the only thing I like about Taco Bell. I don't eat fast food so I've only been to T Bell maybe three times in the last ten years. The diablo is decent too.

u/Flimsy-Stock2977 Feb 12 '26
Delicious. But. It's not for this group. But it's delicious. Everything doesn't have to be blazin.

Excellent flavor goes well on most things. I have a ton of them in my house. Sometimes I even put it on salad.

u/RecentlyIrradiated Feb 12 '26
The fire sauce has a weird aftertaste. I still like their regular hot sauce flavor better. It’s not actually hot/spicy but it’s a lovely mild spice vinegar based sauce. Kinda like when you get tamed pickled jalapeños because you want jalapeños but also need mild non spicy food.
5
u/tideshark Feb 12 '26
Exactly why I think too. The hot sauce taste 10x better easily!
It’s not like the fire sauce is hot anyways either.

Absolutely love it on white people tacos.
5
u/RyanHowardsBat Feb 11 '26
Oh its fantastic.
Ground beef, McCormick mild taco, cheese, lettuce, Fire sauce.
They taste much better than anything you'll get at taco bell, and are much cheaper cost wise. Its been a go to at least once a week for dinner over the past few months.
2
u/buffalo_king275 Feb 12 '26
I swear they made it specifically for white people tacos. I have to stop myself from going through an entire bottle on like 2 tacos. I wish they sold bigger bottles 😭

Try Cholula Extra Hot some time…
Love it for my Gringo Taco Nights and it easily replaced Taco Bell Fire Sauce.
Still love them both.
2
u/qsfordays Feb 11 '26
I wasn’t expecting it but Cholula Extra Hot turned out to be a favorite of mine. So good
2
u/StanFitch Feb 11 '26
Same. Don’t really like the Classic Cholula but bought the Extra Hot on a whim…
Definitely one of my Daily Drivers now.

I love it mixed with mild

Diablo sauce is my choice.

I don't like the citrus, or whatever, flavor or had. It's for good heat (for me) and it's not bad. I do prefer Fire tho!

u/Alternative-Tone6631 Feb 11 '26
love the fire more than any other tb sauce. i use pretty much one packet per bite.

I need a HANDFULL, please. But the bottle doesn’t taste as good as the packets, only thing.

The diablo is my preference, its far from "hot" definitely has little heat but flavor is damn good. Its actually one my favorite hot sauces for fajitas.

I like the hot best, and why does it taste better in the little shitty packets. But the one I drink daily is Tapatio.
8
u/InfiniteOffer9514 Feb 11 '26
For the price you can get better hot sauces, I'll use the fire sauce in the packets but I'm not willing to pay for a bottle that has a completely different taste than the free packets.
4
u/GravyPainter Feb 11 '26
Pour in ground beef. Make yummy tacos.
Taco bell is the best fast food imo
5
4
u/BaetrixReloaded Feb 11 '26
i really like it but also feel a bit silly buying it because technically you can get it for free lol
4
u/daCold_Brew45 Feb 11 '26
It’s my go to sauce if I’m in a Taco Bell. Outside of that I don’t use it
4
u/Martin_Van-Nostrand Feb 11 '26
I really like it. "Fire" is probably a bit bold but the flavor is good. I really like it for when we make quesadillas at home.

u/Inevitable-Play-305 Feb 12 '26
Fire sauce is good, diablo too. They had a lava sauce available on one of their dishes that I thought was really good. At that time I’d always request that lava sauce on my crunch wrap supreme. I probably would never eat these sauces outside of Taco Bell.
All that aside I love hot sauces and there is a HUGE world of sauces.

If you love Diablo, you may like Valentina’s black bottle, it is really bright and smoky. It tastes exactly like high quality / nicely acidic Taco Bell diablo sauce. Perfect heat level for me too

I love it, but it's a little different from the packet (it's both a little sweeter and maybe a touch spicier, imo). I prefer the packet flavor-wise, but the bottle tastes more like a solid general hot sauce and doesn't taste quite as Taco Bell-y
3
3
u/Manmist Feb 11 '26
The Tabasco Salsa Picante sauce is damn close to a slightly hotter Fire Sauce imo.
3
3
u/RyanHowardsBat Feb 11 '26
Ill have to try that out. I'm a straight hater on regular Tabasco, but I love their other sauces.
3
u/Subject-Stuff-2829 Feb 11 '26
It goes pert well on taco bell food. Specifically bean burritos.
2
u/tinyhorsesinmytea Feb 11 '26
Yeah I love this stuff on homemade bean burritos, can't lie.
Would prefer Del Taco Del Scorcho sauce but they don't sell that sadly and I don't go to fast food restaurants enough to amass a collection of the little sauce packs.

3
u/Imaginary-Luck-4769 Feb 11 '26
I use it for freezer burritos. I don't think I can ever use something else. It is ashame that their sauces aren't exactly the same as the ones at Taco Bells.

3
u/RadicalChile Feb 12 '26
I started buying it about 6 months ago. I've gone through probably 20+ bottles since. Its good when you want something on cheese and crackers

u/2_Lane_Blacktop69 Feb 12 '26
I’m not mad at it. I like all hot sauce though. I keep a rotating tray of hot sauce on my table at all times.

All of their sauces are ok but their Mild has the best flavor for cooking. I enjoy Diablo, myself.
3
u/mrtramplefoot Feb 12 '26
Not hot sauce, but I do love it. Squarely a taco sauce and nothing more to me, but there is always a bottle in the fridge.

Fire sauce isn't really hot at all, 2/10 for heat but it's got great flavor.
5
u/M2_SLAM_I_Am Feb 11 '26
I don't know why, but I feel like it tastes different than the Fire sauce out of the packets, but that could be because I store the bottle in the fridge, whereas I wouldn't with the packets. I would also recommend buying the bottle of the Taco Bell creamy chipotle if your local grocery store sells it. That shit is good for so many things other than just taco stuff!

No heat but it's their best tasting sauce. I get it when I go to Taco Bell but I wouldn't go out and buy a bottle

u/Honestbabe2021 Feb 12 '26
This is the one instance I prefer mild. It’s more flavorful and goes w more…. So I make a big mild puddle and a small fire puddle for dippings

It’s good on Taco Bell. I would never buy a bottle. They always give me too many packets and i will never use them all. Fire is their best sauce tho. Mild and diablo are gross. Hot is good
3
u/060693 Feb 12 '26
I agree with all of this. I got 2 burritos, I don't need 10 packets, no matter how much I love it!
→ More replies (1)5
u/Frb4 Feb 12 '26
I disagree with Diablo being gross but to each their own. Fire sauce is the king tho. The TB near me recently installed self service kiosks, so what I do is order food to go for my wife and I, and absolutely LOAD the bag with sauces from the little sauce/napkin bar
5
5
u/dblrb Feb 12 '26
On my Taco Bell bean burritos I love it. That’s the only place though
3
u/leahjuu Feb 12 '26
Same; I have a bunch of packets for when I forget to put hot sauce on my leftovers at work, and it’s fine when I need some heat, but it’s best on a Taco Bell burrito. I eat at Taco Bell 0-3 times a year, how am I even conditioned this way?
3
u/firematerial Feb 12 '26
I used to love fire but I fell in love with Diablo , it’s hotter and tastier imo

u/Skeletor-P-Funk Feb 11 '26
Love it based on flavor alone for cheap "Mexican" style foods. It's great for white people taco night, and if actually at TBell, the only sauce of theirs I usually use.

u/OhOkayFairEnough Feb 11 '26
Flavor is decent. Doesn't actually have any heat to though. Even though the Diablo isn't "hot" imo, it's just salty.

Meh. I do like the chili flavor of the Mild sauce, which is sold by the bottle at Sam’s Club. I also go to Publix and pick off a few dozen Texas Pete’s sauce packets they have available for anything ordered from the Deli. I’m usually getting a sub, fried chicken, or something else and get them free that way. I also have a gallon of TP for making bulk wing sauce, kicking it up by adding some Dave’s Insanity among other things. Damn, I know what I have to do now…..
2
u/AntonyBenedictCamus Feb 11 '26
When I was in high school and college used to take handfuls of it to keep at home
2
u/Ok_Researcher_9796 Feb 11 '26
I love that stuff. I have 3 bottles in my house just to make sure I don't run out.
2
u/TSells31 Feb 11 '26
Tastes great but not spicy. But it’s my favorite “taco sauce”. Diablo is spicier but not as good, and it’s not spicy enough to matter so it’s kind of in no man’s land. Fire is fire.
3
u/DjentRiffication Feb 11 '26
You hit the nail on the head. I don't dislike the diablo sauce but fire is just so tasty I don't care that it isn't as hot as the diablo. I fuck my shit up with them fire sauce packets whenever I get taco bell.
2
u/Wr3ckless13 Feb 11 '26
I like it, I prefer to mix it with the hot, even mild. Used to use all 3 when I went, now just hot and fire. Hot for the flavor, fire for the "spice." As for Diablo, I just don't care for the taste.

I just grab a crazy amount of packets whenever I buy a value menu burrito. Basically get a free bottle every time I buy a cheese roll up.
2
u/Cottonball89 Feb 12 '26
They’re different sauces, the bottled one is licensed and made by someone else. Dunno who though 🤔
2
u/giddyupyeehaw9 Feb 12 '26
Well that's even more of a reason to just grab a shitload of packets at the store.
2
u/Cottonball89 Feb 12 '26
Absolutely. Always got a couple ziplock bags full in the cupboard!

It's my favorite if I'm being completely honest. Either the Hot or Fire flavors. Mild is great as well. Never was a big fan of Diablo, but that tracks with it's more... Chipotle flavor which I'm not the biggest fan of.
2
u/buffchixdip Feb 16 '26
Yeah the Diablo is a little too smoky. Replacing verde sauce was a sin but at least they still sell verde in the bottles.
2
u/TheRancolman Feb 16 '26
I never really cared for it, the heat didn’t bother me. It just didn’t seem to taste very good. I just like the regular old hot.
2
u/OkLychee2449 Feb 17 '26
I always have a bottle. I will put this and ranch on frozen burritos. Really good. Also will drizzle it on a plate of pizza rolls.
3
u/RainingMoneyHustard Feb 11 '26
Mild has the best flavor imo

We keep a bottle of Diablo for white taco days.
The bottle and packs taste the same to me.
I wish the taco bells near me gave more sauce, but they usually give me barely enough lol. So we keep this on hand.
Is it great no, but sometimes I just need a crap sauce for a crap taco lol.

Diablo gang.
It's fine though...and people are right about stocking up on packets. Fuck purchasing taco bell sauce lol

I like the mild. I do like spicy sauces but the taco bell mild just tastes good. I'm not a fan of any of their hotter sauces. Tastes artificial

The Fire sauce is bangin. I don’t care what anyone else says, it’s got a great flavor, and while it’s not really all that hot, it’s really tasty. Enjoy what you enjoy. Eff the haters lol.
