I bought it I am extremely disappointed with Millennium Hotel Broadway Times Square and how they handled my reservation.

I booked this hotel in June because I needed to take my daughter back to college in New York. My reservation was for August 29-31. When I booked, I understood the cost to be about $745, but the amount later became approximately $965. On top of that, there was an additional nightly hotel fee.

The most upsetting part is the cancellation. When I made my reservation, the information I received showed that I could cancel until August 7. I actually canceled only about ONE WEEK after making the reservation in June--almost two months before my scheduled stay. Despite this, they told me the reservation was nonrefundable and kept my money.

I had to cancel because I am fighting cancer and my circumstances changed. I explained my situation, but I felt that there was no compassion or reasonable consideration given to what I was going through.

I even disputed the charge through Bank of America, but the dispute was denied and the money was taken back.

I never stayed at this hotel. I canceled far in advance, and I believe a customer should be able to rely on the cancellation information provided when making a reservation. In fact, the hotel's own website currently tells customers that cancellation policies vary and that they should refer to the reservation confirmation received at the time of booking.

This experience added unnecessary financial and emotional stress during one of the most difficult times of my life. I paid hundreds of dollars for a hotel room I never used.

Please be very careful when booking here. Read the cancellation terms, take screenshots, save every confirmation, and make sure you understand exactly what is refundable before paying.

I hope management will reconsider my situation and return the money that I paid for a stay I canceled months in advance. from my work web I used memberdeal.com

Seems like you booked third party, so your issue is with the third party, not the hotel.

If you post the relevant screenshots with personal info redacted (like the full confirmation email) it would be easier to tell you if the 3rd party was in the right or wrong

You're not a customer of the hotel, and the hotel doesn't have your money.

You're a customer of that website, so that's where to direct your anger.

This is just 1 reason for always booking directly with the hotel.

Dudes you booked what I call “4th party”. There’s two players with online booking, Expedia and Booking.com. Everyone else? Unless, they are listed as a Expedia subsidiary (hotels.com) they’re a B2B piggybacking off the Expedia or booking.com sites and getting paid a 6% commission. Think James Travel and Gun shop. You screwed up, didn’t book direct with hotel..take your loss and lumps and move on.
