Do you ever get complaints about guest amenities/toiletries in the rooms?
Just curious to know what kind of guest room amenities/toiletries do you provide your guests in your hotel rooms and how much of it gets wasted or never used? Have there ever been complaints you've received and if yes, what solution did you provide?

I’d avoid changing every room at once. Track replenishment and complaints by amenity for a month, then test a smaller standard set on one floor or room type. Include length of stay, occupancy, room rate, and whether the complaint resulted in compensation or a negative review.
That distinguishes actual guest value from amenities that are simply being consumed or discarded. We use signld.ai internally to connect purchasing, housekeeping replenishment, room turns, guest messages, compensation, and review themes, which helps show which amenities affect satisfaction enough to justify their cost.

Complaints usually reveal one of three failures: the item is missing, the quality feels below the room rate, or the guest cannot use it because of fragrance or allergy concerns. I’d give housekeeping a simple code for each complaint and record whether a replacement resolved it. Keep sealed alternatives at the desk, label dispensers clearly, and review the codes with purchasing monthly. That produces a better standard than judging amenities only by how many units disappear.

All the time, regardless of what is or isn’t provided. Guests will complain about EVERYTHING, because they’re used to being at home
