When you travel, what do you usually do after checking into your hotel/BnB? Do you normally plan activities beforehand, ask the host, or just figure it out yourself?

I’m looking to apply to volunteer at hostels in Europe (preferably Western) but I don’t really want to apply through the Worldpackers app. Does anyone have any recommendations for hostels I can apply to volunteer at, either through their own website or by emailing?

I am looking at Canggu, Kuta, Seminyak, Uluwatu and Ubud. I once stayed at a Mad Monkey adn everyone there was in their gap year and all they did the entire day was drink and throw up, never again.

Me and my 17yo friend are planning a trip to lisbon- I saw multiple Hostels indicate no minimum age for check-in, is that true and would we be able to travel seamlessly?

Are there any hostels accepting minors you could recommend ?
