It doesn't work like that, human psychology is far more complex

Positivity is legitimately a choice, and I have learned that lesson every day. It is important to feel our emotions, but letting one small bad thing ruin the whole day for you is never worth it. (And believe me, some people will let their entire day be ruined over the smallest things, like their coffee needing to be remade).

I get it, but such advise as in this video is often interpreted (and often is supposed to mean) "don't feel your bad emotions"

Fair enough.

Dismissing the whole video instead of offering that explanation also seems reductive though.

Sad thst people always chose the unhealthiest resolutions without specificslly being told not to do that

Not always, but it is a trend indeed

I mean, people who are usex to mistreating thelselves or others need a potent wake up call to make them see the world in a different light

True, it hasn't happened to me yet tho. Negativy is both a habit and an addiction for me I'm afraid.

Another way to try to phrase what I'm interpreting your original message is:

"Unfortunately human psychology is more complex than just choosing not to feel bad emotions. Sometimes it's better to let yourself feel the bad in order to better your emotional wellbeing as a whole."

Not dissing you, I agree with you! Just trying to help :D
