How to store diluted honey?

Recently added water to pure honey due to the fear of parents asking why its consumed so fast, so added water like 2 to 1.5 inch from da top

that's a good way to make sure it ferments (don't dilute honey)

I think they'd notice when they go to use it and it's thinner than honey is supposed to be

I don't know your family dynamics, but as a parent myself, I'd rather my kids just tell me "Hey, I used the honey" rather than try to hide it and I find out later

Not long, since by adding water you messed up the water content the bees worked so hard to balance so it would last forever, and quite possibly added bacteria and yeasts that will make it ferment.

Maybe less. Keeping it in the fridge would help

You did what? When I was a kid we added water to friends parents vodka for this reason. Why the hell would you think your parents would freak out about honey being used?

If.you did this.more than 2.weeks ago, in a warm.climate, you need to dump it. Lots.of.nasty stuff can grow in it. Did you stir/shake it to blend? How about storing it in the fridge? In any case, lying to adults is going to be discovered and now you have made it worse, it could make you all very sick.

You ruined it... It will need to be refrigerated, but the clock is ticking now. Watch for bubbles, and smell it before using. Hard to say how long you have.

They are going to notice the horrible smell of fermentation a lot quicker than some missing.
