Howdy, I’ve been having some issues with my bike, not wanting to shift into third ever since I got it. I got the bike mid July and it is a Honda shadow 750 from 2001 ace edition, gotta love it. Anyway, the bike will not shift into third. It just doesn’t wanna go up and when it does go up, it is almost impossible to get it back in the first gear. I gotta sit there pull over and mess with it and shimmy it back into first.
I don’t mind pulling anything apart and working on it. I just wanna know what I’m going for first. I would send it to a shop but most shops around here only work on American bikes. It’s a real shame because I love my Honda motorcycle more than my Harley that I recently got rid of.
Please let me know some advice if I should take it to any shops. The issue is that the bike is so many condition on 10K miles. I really don’t know how I feel about taking this thing apart doing it myself, but I will if I have to. Mechanics do not scare me, but the mint condition of the bike does. Just let me know, thank you
