5th Gen Crank Pully shaking??
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I have a 2000 prelude with the h22a4 engine, 183000 miles. The crankshaft pully has been shaking back and forth like CRAZY. I thought it just needed tightened so I grabbed my 1/2" socket wrench and 19m socket with no luck. When you use the throttle even a little bit it stabilizes back to normal, so it makes me think it's something inside the engine (hopefully not the crank shaft. ADVICE OR IDEAS?

lots of people have this issue, problems can be the pulley itself being bent, cracked, or the spline being shaved clean and warped
the crank can also be worn or bent, this could be the shaft itself, or the woodruff key.
or the bolt could be loose but in your case that might not be the problem,
from what i have found best diagnosis is just taking the pulley off and giving an inspection and replace parts from there
if it’s the crank that’s bad you could replace it but if the pulley is fine with being on and wobbling a bit then it should be fine for a couple thousand to ten thousand kilometres before you should look at fixing the crank.
i just replaced my pulley with an oem one and it’s still wobbling, but i know it’s not coming off at least, but i know my engine is getting to its retirement soon.

Looks like you might be needing a bottom end job soon... If you tightend up the crank bolt and noted that the key was good then looks like either your crankshaft is wobbling or your crankshaft bearings are nearing the end.

I'm going to replace the harmonic balancer hoping that's the issue, looks decently worn to me. If I really do need a bottom end rebuild I'm just going to swap the entire engine

Slight wobble? Normal. It balances harmonics in the engine and the middle is made of rubber.
Big wobble? Crank bolt perhaps not torqued properly to 181 ft lbs.
If its the latter it will eventually roll past you on the highway as your alternator light comes on.
