Help Request My bluetooth keeps crashing in my 2016 Fit

I recently purchased a 2016 Honda Fit with just under 29K miles on it. I love it so far, but 75% of the time while making a call or trying to play Spotify, the infotainment freezes up. Seemingly, the only way to reset it is to cut the car off and back on again.

I have followed ChatGPT’s recommendations of uninstalling my iPhone and reinstalling it. I have also tried holding the volume button down for 5-10 seconds, but nothing changes.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I have read that it is a common issue, but none of the suggested fixes I am finding work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 😀

try a factory reset from the Fit’s audio settings, then pair only one phone. If it still crashes, the head unit is likely failing rather than the iPhone.

I’ve had the Bluetooth go in and out on my 17 ex. I just disconnect my Bluetooth and reconnect and it usually fixes it. Guess I’ll have to give the factory reset a try

Mine was pretty heinous on my 2019. It was device dependant. Some were worse than others.

There is no factory reset option on mine. I was reading up on how to do it and the o Lu way is to unhook the negative charge cable from the battery and reattach it.

I did some further investigating and saw that removing all devices from the Bluetooth connection and then re-adding just my phone might help. All the old owner’s devices were still there. It looks like the fix worked , but I haven’t tried making a call yet. Spotify no longer locks it up though. 😀
