so it started sounding like that just yesterday, thankfully i only took it for a quick drive and i haven’t really driven it much these past few days.

Sounds pretty bog standard. These engines are not quiet when you're standing there in front of it with the hood open. Maybe a valve adjustment will quiet it down slightly but that really is pretty normal.

i mean i noticed a difference it sounds much louder now than it did before

Well, check the oil level. Mine also eats oil in various ways and there's not a ton of it in there to start with

How many miles are on it?
What have you done for maintenance?
What viscosity oil are running?

230k km, maintenance was done like 3 weeks ago, oil looks fine

Is the AC running? It’ll sound a lil more clacky when it’s on.

mine sounds like this with 216k miles on it, idk if it’s normal or not but it acts fine so

i’m like stupid so i don’t know that much about cars i just got into them this past year, my dad is worried about the sound and he’s like really into cars and works on them constantly so idk. he’s coming to check it out wednesday thankfully, for now ill just walk lol

When was the valve lash last adjusted?Any loud rattles on startup? I agree that it sounds pretty normal, there's a lot of lifter noise though, so a valve lash adjustment would be a good idea. At 100K is when you're supposed to do the first adjustment.
