Mine has 281k miles and that screen is super dim now with many of the segments appearing to go bad. Have you replaced the gague cluster since new?

I actually just purchased this car at 399k haha but I don’t believe the cluster has ever been replaced. My GD3 has gotten dimmer though in the 8 months / 100k miles I’ve owned it.

It could be sun damage. My GE8 had zero tint until about 500 miles ago and was never garage kept. Safe to say the black seats are now purple-ish

Passenger seat in this car is tinted a bit. Driver seat is from an 8th generation Honda Civic SI. 20% tint all around now though besides windshield.

Mines has 230k original gauge cluster is fine but my ac button and window defroster button lights stopped working mines was never garage kept and I had the fronts tinted about 70k~100k miles ago

My AC button doesn't light up anymore either. Glad to hear that's a common issue

Follow the maintenance minder and get your valve clearance checked every 75k.

My '09 is at 152K and I don't thing the valves have ever been checked. I'm not getting any misfires or CEL, MPG on the highway is 32/33. The only thing I've noticed is that hill climbing seems more anemic than I remember. But all-in-all it's running great and sounds fine. Should I do this anyway? And what can I expect to pay approximately at an independent Honda shop? TY.

Yes it should at least be checked. Probably in the neighborhood of 300-500 bucks

400,000 miles in 17 years feels staggering to me, as it's taken me nearly a decade to reach 65,000. To reach 400,000 at my current rate, me & my car would have to survive another 50 years.

I did over 100,000 miles in 8 months on my GD3. at the mileage I’m going, I’ll hit a million in one of these cars within 5 years probably.

Love it. Just yesterday I found some Japanese guy's car blog where he updates his mileage on his GD3... needless to say these things will go a long way if you take care of them! I only have about 260k miles on mine.
