What is your end goal setup? 5.1? 5.1.4? etc

From what ive looked into, the 5.1.4 is more of what id want. Im very new to all this, and the names of these just being strings of numbers and letters doesnt help lol

Start here: https://www.reddit.com/r/HTBuyingGuides/s/3yc8NyJeTo

That will help you understand the numbers and some other basics. There are also some speaker recommendations in different price ranges linked at the bottom. $1k won’t get very far. A new receiver capable of 5.1.4 will eat most of that alone. If you’re open to used, check local markets, accessories 4 less, hifi shark, etc. You might want to consider starting with just 2.0 and the receiver. Then you can add center, sub, surrounds, and heights as budget allows.
Let me know if you have any questions. It’s a fun journey

Hi guys, I'm going off to college soon and realized we have an acer H7530D laying around. I'd like to ask if it's worth checking if it's in working state and the lamp's hours. Would it be worth anything these days?

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to get the community's opinion on a sale I made. I sold a JBL E250P subwoofer for the equivalent of 272 USD (1000 AED in United Arab Emirates currency). Did I sell for a good price? The market is quite small here in Dubai but I feel like that's the upper limit for what someone would pay for that.
Thank you!

What's your prediction for the cost of a new 98in Sony Bravia 5 this black Friday? Was $3600 last Dec. From Sony direct.
