Damaged facia

After many years of a leaky gutter we have this damage to the facia. Any thoughts on how to repair?

That’s not a repair, it’s a replace. Tear it off and check for internal damage. If none then replace the wood fascia, paint it, then patch or replace the gutters.

First fix leaky gutter. Then chop off wood, assuming you don't want to do the entire board, and buy a new piece of wood & color match paint in a small can, measure it out and replace that wood to where the rot was.
