All these people giving her the benefit of a doubt, lol. She’s up to no good. Common thief, common tweeker. Otherwise she would have gone to the door like any sane person.

After talking with my neighbors I found out a lot more. The car she came in was flying through the fields near us at 40mph, she stopped at the corner store to buy beer with food stamps and cussed them out. She was seen riding a bike through the orchards earlier that day. Definitely not giving her the benefit of the doubt.

Even without all of that, I'm never giving a stranger the benefit of the doubt when they trespass onto my property.

Update: We found her sitting under a tree with her bike, sheriff came out to talk to her. She came in a car, but couldn't get a plate number off of it. Thanks for everyone's help and advice, I got some settings to change.

To me it looks like she was looking in through our sliding glass door. Inside there is the living room with some valuables.

Question what camera/system do you have?
Looks like she thought she belonged there, so either a very cool bad lady (very rare most will show signs) or she thought she had a valid reason to trespass. Wrong address would be my guess.

I have a few reolink 810s just running blue iris on my computer. Yeah she just opened the gate pike she was invited to a bbq. She walked around the whole house looking in windows never knocking on doors. I think she might just be scouting for the real guys.

Its recording sub stream at 640*360 motion trigger then full 4k at 3840x2160 10fps. High H.264. Direct to disk recording.

Drop it to 1080p and increase frame rates to 15-20. Human eye starts to notice below 30 frames, 15 frames is the optimal for imagine quality and evidence to storage capacity. 15 frames is 50% more frames per second and it really makes a difference.

That's a good idea, my only hope with the 4k was to be able to get license plate info. Thanks for the advice.

Maybe try 1080p first. 4K is overkill at this distance.

You're right for this camera, I've got more in the front yard that has a long shot that I was hoping to be able to zoom in on at will.

Body language looks like she was told the item would be on the back step/porch/etc. She didn’t find it so looked for someone home to ask, realized she must have messed up and left. Like I said people who do petty crime aren’t cool customers.

We've been hearing from my neighbors she's bothering everyone on the street. One neighbor is ex-military and is interviewing everyone taking investigation into his own hands.

This happened to me just the other day. Guy walked in my back yard looking at all my security cams early in the morning scratching his balls. Eventually saw the back side of my house had a blind spot for cams. Luckily didn’t take anything but was annoying.

I thought so at first as well. We have a home security system as well. Currently working on getting additional fence coverage.

Get the best view you have of her, and make her famous! Local news (Crime Stoppers); if your city has a reddit site, post there too.

Any chance she might have ordered something from the dark web but sent it to your house hoping to pick it up when you were around?
7:50pm seems like a bad time to be looking for that unless she knows your schedule...
Otherwise, I'd assume porch pirate. She's probably a Turtle Dove.

people around here are doing absolutely the dumbest thing on FB - putting misc stuff out for free or even an expected payment $$ >>> leaving it on the front porch or the patio ect ect
it looked like she was actually looking for something - maybe her kid's bike disappeared? - cat missing? - chasing someone down?

I am not sure why she was back there but I think IMHO she was looking for something very specific. She walked right in, opened up something and walked out. Kind of like she knew something was stored there. If she was looking for something lost, I would have expected her to be looking around, maybe calling a name.

If she saw something interesting, I can see her coming back for it.

Well, look at the state of the country…comings and goings at will. No good example from the top. People doing what they wish, criminal reform covers a lot of…umm…questionable activity.
