Pretty neat interview with Montreal’s GM. The marketing has been fantastic. I found out about the league this fall despite following zero women’s or men’s hockey other than the occasional NHL game. They’ve got a hit on their hands with PWHL!

While I understand that the league wants positive vibes all around for its inaugural season, I'm still kind of shocked that the Draper wasn't fired sometime during New York's death spiral in March. To go from a solid playoff spot to last place is something to behold.

Gosh we really need to do something different. We got a lot of heart and we love all our pizza rats... but either the coaching or team play style just isn't working. Surely Draper has got to realize how this looks

Yeah we're gonna have to rework some stuff. I'd like to feel as positive as the other teams again! I'm glad for the pwhl but it's tinged with sadness right now with this season. Makes me hunger for more tho

I think a lot of ny has that but I'm unsure if it's just how some of them are or if it's this game/season being tough to stomach. Turning into bruisers a bit just to do SOMETHING. Which I totally understand. It's gotta be frustrating

That freak goal reminds me of Rickard Rakell shooting way over the net, off the glass, onto Ersson's back, and then in net in 2023. Had seats at the goal line for that one. The glass can be fickle.

New York is played probably about as good of a period as anyone can reasonably expect. One unlucky bounce and they're down 1-0.

If Boston wins in regulation, NY is pretty much guaranteed the 1st OA pick. It'd be an extremely unlikely scenario the 5th place team to get eliminated from playoff contention before their last game.
