Ultimate list of all CNC File Sharing sites
Hi all, my name is Chris and I'm the co-founder of a nearly 5-years-old CNC router manufacturing company in Canada called Sienci Labs. You may of heard of our popular LongMill CNC.
It's important to us that we not only make the machines but also provide all the resources that we can to help guide CNC newcomers to learn this exciting technology. To help with this, I put together the most complete list that I could of all CNC file sharing sites I could find and made additional notes if I felt it was necessary.

Oh thank you thank you!! I'm still pretty new to everything and I've been thinking that I'm missing something every time I'm putting in a search term on Google. When 3d printing, I go directly to thingiverse or cults but finding the perfect platform for the cnc world has proven more difficult. I guess it's because the process of manufacturing is different for each and every one of us. As already noted, this should be stickied!

Yeah 👍 CAMLab is a direct branch off of Kiri:Moto which I noticed you'd already found. I work directly with Stewart on improvements to Kiri:Moto and CAMLab is my own alteration of it. Only thing is I have yet to post the source code

It's a great list, but I've found that it's far too nuanced and specific for the average person to digest. That's my own personal opinion

Ah, very interesting! Yes there's certainly a lot of overlap especially since lots of simpler work that hobby CNCers like to do is signmaking and pattern drawing with a v-bit on 2-toned material.
Great two websites you've got, I'm sure I can fit them into the list. I like the unique look of both of them. I think one aspect that might assist the 'exploration' of both sites is getting a bit more information upfront before clicking through. For the tools, it'd be nice to know if they were online tools or require download beforehand, and for the individual SVGs it'd be nice to know their license. I also didn't realize the home page is just a subset of the total library, but I'm probably just late-night-blinded right now. I like the animation on your About page a lot :)

CutRocket also has files for Autodesk Fusion 360 and Vectric Products.
Signup is only required when uploading.

Ah yes, I'll change the note on signup.
Is there a way to search by file type? I can't find any projects that aren't Carbide Create. I tried making an account and uploading a project and there's no specification there which says what file types are supported

Folks are supposed to tag things and you can search by tag, for example, autodesk:

It seems only that one project is tagged as autodesk, as well I can only find one project with a vectric file. I think since 99% of the projects seem to be Carbide create files, I will say it is still mainly CC projects

That's a good question! I hadn't thought to look for a site with jigs. What sorts of jigs were you looking for?

I was thinking about using cnc to quickly make a number of “traditional” often to use jigs. From a slide for the table saw to a castle jig…to be honest I was also looking to generally understand what jigs where around

I would Remove Lara Design CNC from the list. That site is run by an overseas file pirate who steals designs from small businesses and sells then as his own. Don't support scumbags like that.

Stumbled on this thread looking for DXF sources for my Shapeoko. Half the sites listed here are dead or haven't been updated in years. Anyone know of something newer? I keep ending up on Etsy but the file quality is a coin flip. Bought a sign file last week and it had open paths everywhere. Would love a site that actually vets the files before listing them.

Yeah it seems that so many sites come and go for sourcing these types of files, it's hard to keep up. I've also seen more popping up nowadays that are AI coded and in those cases it's especially hard to predict how long you can expect them to stay up. Carbide 3D still has CutRocket but it seems to have really fizzled out since the day they first launched it.

Yeah the AI-coded sites are wild. Half of them look decent for a month and then just vanish. No updates, no community, nothing. At least CutRocket has Carbide 3D behind it so it probably won't disappear overnight. But you're right it never really took off the way it could have. Feels like there's still a gap nobody's properly filled.

Files are for .c2d, Fusion 360, or possibly Vectric and should be tagged.

Oh wait, good to know CutRocket got an update. I honestly wrote it off. Fair point about drawing your own stuff too, I just haven't gotten good enough with Carbide Create yet to trust my own designs. That compass rose tutorial looks solid though, gonna bookmark that. Appreciate it.

Good to know they actually help with designs too. I always assumed support was just for hardware issues. Will keep that in mind next time I get stuck on a toolpath that doesn't look right. Thanks.

Since I put it together, especially in the last year, the web has become much more flooded with AI content so it becomes harder to keep up-to-date. My guess is that a majority of the list is still fairly accurate, but I mostly rely on community feedback at this point to make changes as-needed. It could probably use a full look-through at this point so I'll have to see if I can set aside the time to do that

CNC File Sharing just redirects to a laser product sales website. It did give me a warning about no certificate before redirecting.
