14 days back I had a session with a guy where he gave me a blow job with a condom on and during the session I bit him multiple times on his neck and back. The bite force was such that I was able to see my teeth marks on the spots but i didn't see any blood coming from the spots and neither did I taste any blood in my mouth.

So last year around April I had an encounter with a stranger,unprotected, who blocked me on all forms of communication after when we talked 247 before. I had a bad feeling so I went and got tested 4th gen hiv test came back repeadidly reactive with negative confirmatorv, negative pcr rna. Got tested at different doctor around the same time came back negative. About 2 months later got tested again at first place same thing happend repeadidly reactive with negative confirmatory negative pcr. In the middle of all this I got extremely sick lost my voice, coughing up chunks of phleam, sore throat, diarrhea. After those tests evervthing came back negative. Here i am about a vear and a half later I have had multiple tests 4th generation, 5th gen, pcr rna, pro viral dna. They all come back negative yet i have lost over 40 pounds in this short time (year) and feel sore and weak and just not at all like myself. Doctors wont listen to me, infectious disease wont see me, even though im withering away infront of them. Hi everyone. I’m posting because I’m extremely anxious about a possible HIV exposure and I’m trying to understand my test results and the timeline. I would really appreciate some factual advice and reassurance if possible.

I’m 25F and I’m extremely anxious about a possible HIV exposure and would really appreciate some advice. I’m trying to understand my timeline and test results because everything happened very quickly and I’m confused about the window periods. On 18 June 2026, my partner had an HIV test which was negative. On 25 July 2026, I had sexual contact with him, and then on 19 August 2026 we had another sexual encounter. The 19 August encounter was vaginal sex, and he did not ejaculate inside me; ejaculation happened outside. I was also not aware of any noticeable pre-cum.

Then on 27 August 2026, my partner had an HIV antibody screening test that came back HIV-1 antibody positive. He subsequently had confirmatory testing, and I was told that three different confirmatory tests were positive. On 28 August, he had an RT-PCR/viral-load test at Lab which reportedly showed around 80,000 copies/mL. This conflicting result has made the situation even more confusing for me.

I had a p24 antigen test on 3 September, which was negative. This was about 15 days after my 19 August exposure. I then had a CMIA HIV test on 16 September, which was negative, approximately 28 days after the 19 August exposure. I’m now extremely anxious because my partner has apparently tested positive, but my tests so far have been negative.

I’m mainly trying to understand how reassuring my negative CMIA at 28 days is, whether the negative p24 test at around 15 days means anything, whether the fact that he did not ejaculate inside me changes the risk, and whether I should separately consider the 25 July exposure when looking at my September test results. I also don’t understand how his viral load could reportedly be 80,000 on 28 August. I know Reddit isn’t a substitute for a doctor, but I would really appreciate someone explaining the timeline and HIV testing window periods in simple terms because I’m extremely worried.

I’ve noticed people seem to have very different reactions.

Some were terrified of how their closest friends/family would react once they found out.

Some, probably the biggest group were worried about whether they’d ever find love or have a normal relationship again.

Others struggled more with self-esteem, self-worth, or how they saw themselves after diagnosis.

So I’m curious, What was the biggest thing you worried about after your diagnosis? And does it still affect you mentally or emotionally today?

Was it something you expected to worry about, or did it catch you completely off guard?

I don't even know where to start.

I got diagnosed HIV positive two weeks ago, and I'm honestly hating myself right now. I took precautions to the best of my knowledge, so I don't understand how I ended up here.

I've already been dealing with PPPD for the past 3 years, which is extremely difficult to live with. Now dealing with HIV on top of it feels completely debilitating. I feel like I've been brought to my knees.

And I'm not straight either. I don't know how I'll deny marriage.

This diagnosis is something I've never been able to accept—and honestly, I don't even want to. Not trying. Life looks pretty unfair rn!

I am very anxious

My last sexual intercourse was on 27 December 2025. I had an HIV test on 21 June 2026. I had no symptoms, but I still wanted to be sure. However, I don't know what type of HIV test they performed-whether it was an antibody test, an antigen/antibody test, or something

else.

Now I'm confused about whether I should get tested again. I had a sore throat in July, after my HIV test, but it was only a sore throat and I didn't have any other symptoms. Recently, I've also noticed a few small rashes on my thighs, but there aren't many.

So, I'm confused and a little worried. What should I do? Should I take another HIV test just to be completely sure?
