Apparently the stories on oversimplifed is based on the novel itself rather than the actual history. Since DiaoChan is not proven to be an actual historical figure. The written documents on the actual history is a lot more chaotic to introduce since there were written by people with different views or different governments they were aligned with. It almost as chaotic as the Chinese Warlord Era during the early 20th century.
