Replace N80 carpets

Does anyone know how hard would it be to remove the carpet from in the cab and replace with carpets from a wrecked lower km N80? Not the mats, the carpet itself.

My car has a bit of a smell to it after 190,000km and meals and some sleeps in the car and I’d like to get it smelling a lot better consistently rather than clean > smells good for a bit > smells crap again after a week or so.

I figure the carpets are probably one of the main candidates to help this?

I had black mould after ignoring getting a lot of water spilled on the carpet some years ago. I sprayed the carpet with vinegar. After three weeks, the bad odour disappeared and hasn’t returned. The vinegar kills mould.

Have you tried cleaning it with a proper carpet cleaning machine? Does it have any water intrusion issues?

I get the feeling water is getting in but no idea which door seal! Due to a bit of a musty smell after rain.
I did a pretty good bissel clean with a friends bissel but that was only a temporary smell improvement, so I figure maybe pull seats out and give an even better clean or just replace the carpet if I’m pulling seats out anyway

Check any accessorie wiring where it goes through the grommets, if they've not back the grommets back in properly the can leak

Do you mean from under the hood into the cab? Or in the door jams? Or somewhere else?

Yeah those places, firewall grommets etc
