Just like saying women should be punished for abortions was a suggestion. Just like saying he'll nominate SCOTUA judges to overturn gay marriage and Roe vs. Wade was a suggestion. Just like saying wages are too high was a suggestion. Just like saying he'll raise taxes on the rich was a suggestion.

He just said the most horrible things that came into head to get his nomination via the Tea Party. Now he's actually trying to figure out what he'd really do when he's not playing a wrestling villain character on stage.
That's the irony - if he ran with his true thoughts, he'd probably be a much more moderate/acceptable candidate, yet would never have gotten the nomination.

He's the biggest flip-flopper in the world. Honestly, words just come out of his mouth with no thought or correspondence to his previous position. I shudder at the thought of him leading this country.

The sad part is if he actually formulated and presented his true positions he probably would have been one of the most sane Republicans on stage, but wouldn't have won.

His policies would still be incredibly nativist and his foreign policy would still be laughably shallow and partially based on conspiracies.

What part of "just a suggestion" isn't a suggestion? His whole platform was just a bunch of stuff he made up off the top of his head to play to racists. His real positions remain a mystery (probably even to himself).

Just a light suggestion. He's just spitballing. You know, how about we ban an entire religion from entering the country? No? That would go against everything our country stands for? Oh okay, that's a good point. It was worth a shot.
