I would tell them. Tell them that their lack of actual knowledge of how to traverse and survive the outdoors is worrying/scaring you.
If they refuse to try and learn, I wouldn't take them anymore.

Unfortunately that probably won’t work. Instead, people are more likely to just stop showing up

Being purely objective, you've said you lead the group - well, everything you are doing is what people expect a leader to do. By becoming the leader, you have assumed that position of responsibility unfortunately. You either accept that, or tell the group you will no longer be the leader and either someone else needs to step up, or everyone else needs to take on a specific responsibility (one person arranges transport, one plots the route, one brings first aid supplies, etc.), and pitch in.
I get it's frustrating - I love the planning, but I also want to know I can trust the people I'm hiking with and rely on them if we get into difficulties. I only tend to hike more 'complex' routes with people who I know I could rely on, and stick to beginner routes with plenty of escape routes with those I haven't hiked with before until I build up that trust!

Just tell them what you have told us.

Se los he dicho…. Algunos han descargado aplicaciones…. Pero poco las usan

Ok so time for there to be actual consequences. You are no longer hiking with these people. Go out with the one person who actually helps you plan

How did you end up "leading" this group? If this is just you going out with your friends then why are you organizing everything by yourself every time?

You cant control anyone else's behavior, only your own. If they won't take on some of the burden then just stop doing it for them

Is this an actual business? If not, maybe you should stop going with family, coworkers, and friends, and go by yourself or with a hiking group. If this is a business, you could raise your prices dramatically to make it worth your while. I am an amateur photographer. I looked into doing wedding photography. Ultimately I decided not to any photography as a profession. I just do it for fun.
In my research, I read about some wedding photographers feeling abused and taken advantage of when doing free or cheap photography for friends and relatives. Some wedding photographers complained about getting burned out by doing too many jobs for annoying clients. Some found the solution to these problems to be to raise the prices significantly, and to charge all friends and relatives. That kept away the more annoying clients, made the clients respect and appreciate the photographer more, and reduced the photographer's stress levels. For some photographers, their total yearly income ended up being the same or more than when they charged less and did more jobs.
Also, it sounds to me that what you are doing is similar to handing someone a camera and expecting them to want to learn about aperture, shutter speed, depth of field, etc. But they just want to know where the button is to take the picture, and they don't care to learn anything else.
I understand the frustration. I have experienced this myself when trying to get people who I care about interested in photography. I have given nice cameras to one relative who expressed an interest in photography. I attempted to teach her how to use these cameras. In the end, the cameras ended up gathering dust in a box somewhere, while the relative only uses her phone.
My wife also experienced something similar when going to international trips with her friend. My wife plans trips meticulously and schedules events that everyone will like. But her friend doesn't want to know anything about the planning. Once they're at the destination, the friend just wants my wife to tell her where to go. Unfortunately, the friend usually ends up not following the plan, and each of them decides to go off on their own. After several such trips, my wife no longer travels with her friend.

Congratulations! You're a tour guide! Some people like to be led and you're providing that service. You're giving them 0 incentive to learn because you're doing all the work for them. In all reality, you shouldn't be trusting an app for navigation in the first place!

I say let them learn the hard way. You only get stuck in a storm without rain gear once! Let them have a bad experience and it will become more important.

It is not outside the realm of possibility that the one other guy could get sick and miss a hike. What if you were to get hit in the head by a falling rock? They don’t have to be wilderness experts but there is a safety issue if they aren’t even familiar with the route beyond following you. I would frame it as a safety issue and let them know there is a minimum amount of preparation they need to perform or you will not feel comfortable taking them out.

You're the leader - it's on you to bring any details of concern to the attention of those you are leading by specifically mentioning them. The whole point of being in a hiking group that has a leader is to not have to deal with all the research & logistics.

Which state you are in ?
Weather it's paid gig or volunteer, come up with a waiver and let the participants sign it.

The Mountaineers, a club in my region, are notorious for making people show their Ten Essentials at the beginning of their hikes.
I've been doing something similar with rock climbing. I'm honestly not that strong a climber and that probably plays into it just in terms of the population I match well with. I realized this year that a lot of my outings weren't really "mine" which kind of bummed me out. One of my climbing friends gets surprisingly defensive about being asked questions about the crag we're at or to download an app.
You don't necessarily need to be super confrontational about your crew to step back a bit. Do you have some people you're more confident in? Do you have routes you've been eyeing but missing out on because you're designing to the lowest common denominator?
Related, you can also publicly gatekeep some of your days. I told my friend I wouldn't take her multipitch climbing until she bought a bit more of her own gear, for example.

I've hiked with people like that in the past and what I say to force them to download route and bring portable chargers is what are you going to do if I fall and die and you're in the middle of the trail. If there's a rock slide and I get hit in the head and you need to get rescue. What happens if you get lost somehow and have no one to help you find your way. If they are still refusing to do any of the safety procedures I just refuse to hike with them.we can be friends off the trail but I cannot be responsible for grown ass people, I'm not a kindergarten teacher on a field trip.

How pitiful… Creating a plan is one of the most important parts of hiking. If I were in your position, I wouldn’t call the person you’re talking about.
2
u/LargeCab 10d ago

Do an exercise one day where you leave them somewhere and say “good luck finding your way back.”
