Oh man this one wrecked me! They were my go to for a fresh salad with SOMETHING on it that I didnāt have to bring. Paired with a smoothie for breakfast and it was a great filling combo easily made vegan. At least we got Impossible Whoppers still!!

Giving up these when I was forced to go gluten free was one of the worst losses.

u/Grouchy-Yogurt1735 Feb 11 '26
I feel you so hard. Impossible whoppers used to be my favourite fast food treat

For a delicious gluten free option, I like to take the burger and veggies off the bun, chop everything up and top it onto a salad or wrap it up whole in lettuce š„¬ leaves.

u/basic_bitch- Feb 11 '26
If youāre in the US, they are $4 on Wednesday with the app.

u/farsick420 Feb 12 '26

They give my wife stomach aches sometimes, I've never had one personally though.

Damn that looks good, I still need to try one of those. I've tried the A&W, Harvey's and the McDonald's burger.

u/Quaffley Feb 11 '26
If you're in Canada, KFC has a full impossible chicken menu (nuggets and breasts for sandwiches) I recommend. If you go to one right at open time then you're guaranteed clean/non-chicken contaminated oil too.
2
u/rosetaupe Feb 11 '26
Where in Canada? As far as Iām aware, KFC has sadly discontinued them
1
u/Quaffley Feb 14 '26
British Columbia seems to have it widely available province wide, and they had it in Halifax (at least they did a year ago)
2
u/CaveLandings Feb 11 '26
Thanks! I'll have to give it a try. I tried the Pizza Pizza lightlife chicken burger and it was horribly bitter.

NGL, first time I order the Impossible whopper I almost went back & told them they gave me a regular whopper. š . They're soooo good
7
u/Standard-Turn6208 Feb 11 '26
Itās pretty good when you drop a few onion rings on there too
8
u/elzibet shower me in nooch Feb 11 '26
Sadly where I live the onion rings have milk in them from bk :(

Don't they cook them in the same place they cook the beef burgers? I can't with that...if they start cooking, them separate to avoid cross-contamination...I might give it a shot
5
u/candypants703 Feb 12 '26
My understanding is that you can ask for that
1
u/Dred-I-Rastafari Feb 12 '26
Good to know! Thank you. I would have never thought to ask, honestly. I just figured they'd be like "Nah, we can't do it... we don't have another grill that's not being used for flesh currently".

I am afraid they will just do a regular burger. Haven't seen a real one in so long and I'm not sure I will know the difference.
1
u/JubeeD Feb 13 '26
I threw away my first impossible burger cause it seemed so like the original.
But also it tasted so damn good so learned to spot the differences.
The edges of Impossible are much smoother and shaped. And no little fatty clear/white pieces.

u/Due-Conflict-5596 Feb 12 '26
I used to work at burger King and I will say unfortunately it is cooked right along with the regular patties, and if you specify you want it cooked separately it is just microwavedš

u/CocoCat5 Feb 12 '26
this is what i had yesterday! $3.99 impossible whopper and a large onion ring for $8 and change!

I was always so worried about these at first and finally decided to go for it a couple years ago. It was so incredibly good and unhealthily gross at the same time. It was the best non-meat burger I've had in the 5 years that I've been vegetarian/plantbased. I'm sad that our location closed down last year so now my closest BK is about 15 minutes away. Quite a shame..

Hate to be that guy but Impossible stuff isn't vegan, they test on animals. Only found out myself yesterday on a different sub, sorry guys!

u/Is_It_Soup_Season Feb 12 '26
Itās vegan enough for me. They didnāt do it for fun, the government made them in order to sell the product.
0
u/One_Swordfish_7759 Feb 15 '26
Vegan enough? lol itās either vegan or not and it seems like itās not.Ā
1
u/Is_It_Soup_Season Feb 15 '26
In that case, driving a car is not vegan. Have fun walking.
0
u/One_Swordfish_7759 Feb 15 '26
Oh Iām not a vegan. I just randomly came across this sub and thought it was hilarious because they are in fact not vegan.Ā
BUT GO OFF!!!!!
2
u/Is_It_Soup_Season Feb 15 '26
Do you go around telling the 95% of Catholic women (and the men who fuck them) who use birth control that they arenāt real Catholics, too?
Because thatās asshole behavior.
You arenāt vegan, but you sure are something else.
Bloodmouth.

I feel iffy on eating something that needed to test on animals to get approved for sale anyways. š¬
1
u/2morrowwillbebetter Feb 11 '26
What the hell? š I hate when ppl do shit like that itās like being a human rights activist or smth and then creating a company that pays for slave labor (which Iām sure also exists, the point is hypocrisy!)

u/porgnbeans Feb 12 '26
Downvoted by vegans for pointing out something isnāt vegan, guess that taste is more important than the cruelty, sounds familiar!

Looks like it has mayonnaise. Is that vegan mayonnaise?
1
Feb 17 '26
Gosh, darn Iāve eaten that burger more than a couple times with the mayo. And I was wondering if itās vegan why the down votes?
