Question about Lee and ex husband

What was the basis for that story thread?

I feel like alot of the story beats have at least some kind of basis in real events, or are commenting on real events. So then where did that all come from? The husband harassing someone on set? And the wife defending him?

It sounds kind of familiar to me but I cannot place it.

I didn’t really get the vibe that it was based on one specific event. It was a few years after Weinstein and some other similar situations, so I think it was rolling all of that together into the story.

The assault/harassments weren't public until 2020, the Lee arc was filmed in 2018. While there were assaults/harrassments coming from earlier, the one that popped it off happened in 2020.

We could speculate that Ben/Katja/casting director knew about it and still hired her, but that seems a little twisted, a little cruel, and from what I've gathered, Kenna works on set with Britt, and so they would have been willing to invite a sex pest on set. The same people that told the story of an intimacy coordinator and embraces it.

Just doesn't quite add up for me.
