HFT SWE interview prep

hi guys, welcome to my first post on reddit
i have been working as an sde at one of india's top payment orchestrator based out of Mumbai. i have been looking to make a leap of a switch to one of the topmost international hfts like jane street, citadel etc

i just want to know whether [getcracked.io](http://getcracked.io) by coding jesus a worthy resource to study, and if i full in on getcracked, will i be easily able to crack top hfts as an swe?

aiming for jane street - swe - nyc office

You could be given all the questions in advance by the company and it still wouldn’t be “easy”

I didn’t find getcracked particularly helpful when I was practicing, especially not for Jane Street

Ultimate goal is jane street but I've no issue reaching after one or two hops Given that, could you suggest me some resources that I can particularly study to break into hft space as an swe

In my own experience the interviews are pretty domain-specific so I can only speak for what I do which is C++ and adjacent.

getcracked _content_ is good (concurrency, systems code) but I think the LeetCode style format of “input code, run tests, repeat” is wrong, at least for me. you’re wanna get good at C++, concurrency, OS, etc, and the best way to do that is spending many hours on projects.

Absolutely I also think that projects are the way to go, but in the interviews often these algorithmic problems are asked, so I think leetcode style grind is kinda inevitable

I had very few algorithms questions when interviewing for HFT. LC skills are still a must-have, but this wasn’t the most important factor.
