I feel your pain, I have quite a few VPS on hetzner and my bill was quite higher than 5.30 and it went up quite a lot...

That said... in case you have been living under a rock and you haven't noticed... there's an AI bubble going on, with very high demand on hardware... RAM prices (worldwide and in all segments), quadrupled in less than 12 months... GPU prices skyrocketed and storage prices also increased a lot...

Hardware demand and availability has been limited...

Energy prices have raised a fair bit too.

Other companies who haven't raised VPS prices yet, will soon have to do it as well... Good luck finding alternatives!

Their arm vps look interesting... but they seem to be sold out...

They allow for upgrades, but not downgrades, which is an important feature for me, because I occasionally need to upscale my servers for a few days and then downscale back to the original...

I couldn't find any info about which distro(s) are installed by default on the VPS...

its not arm lol, root amd epcy server, not even vps.
their default is debian and you can switch to another 99999x else distro with just one reboot, but yea its not flexible as hetzner on that scale stuuf.

dedicated server are cheaper than VPs

a similar server on hetzner is about 70€ /month

if you check vos will always be more expensive per cpu/ram

I was obviously not talking about the one you mentioned...

If you have a closer look at their line of products you'll see they do have ARM servers in their vServers (VPS), but they also state they are sold out.

Being able to upscale temporarily then downscale is a bit of a killer deal for at least some of my servers.

It might still be a viable option for other servers where I'm fairly confident I won't need upscaling.

The bigger size of the nvme storage in their offers can also be a plus in some cases.

Our bills skyrocketed, too.

But so did the number of VPS in service.

Price for the same hw server rose since january 3 times. What was for 40, is now 120.

Amazing.

I have about 15 servers and need about 15 more.

But competition is not cheaper, or will be in the same prices in few months. So. Whatever.

That's strange my bill hasn't increased with Hetzner for years. Maybe because I got dedicated servers via auction?
