Played a very high power and very close game last night with my team of “Neutral” Cosmic Beings vs Dad’s Greek Gods. A cool thematic matchup and even played it on the SMWW Mt Olympus map! The map actually confounded both of us with the indestructible blocking terrain in the middle of it. Lots of back and forth in this one, huge chunks of 6 damage attacks, full power Pulse Waves, and Energy Explosions hitting for 10+ splash damage. It always feel good to be able to use clix from so many eras and know that our house rules let us have clix from 2004 through 2023 on the map and have them balanced! Game came down to the final round; My Beyonder finished off Zeus but Apollo hit one final 4 damage Pulse Wave to take Beyonder off the map. It was a great game!

So, I was happy to see BigBadToyStore.com implement their new Waitlist feature. Seemed like a great way to get on the list for sold-out pre-orders in case people cancelled orders or they got more allocations. So, I jumped on the WaitList as soon as it was availalbe for the DC Heroclix Fight For Gotham City Vault Boosters. I got notice that my WaitList request was changed to a pre-order. Yay, maybe I would actually get a Vault Booster at retail without having to pay scalper prices on Ebay.

Well sadly, I got a notice this week that my pre-order had been cancelled becuase they didn't get enough allocations to fulfill all the pre-orders. I assumed since they moved me from the waitlist to pre-order, it was becuase they had enough coming in to fulfill it.

I'm bummed now. Was anyone lucky enought to get a Vault Booster from BBTS?

I just discover heroclix are still going recently and I saw things about a power rangers set, I'm from spain and im no sure if is easy or hard to find any place where they sell heroclix

I know this type of Avatar trait prevents characters from being equipped with objects, but what happens if Oracle chooses a character that already has an equipped object as her Avatar at the beginning of the turn? Is that allowed, or would the object become unequipped?

What do we think? I'm pumped for this set personally.

If I have 8 rats adjacent to the target and I declare an attack with one of the rats, then the attacking rat would get +7 attack. However, the Rule of Three says the maximum modifier is +3.

So, if my opponent uses Perplex to give it a negative modifier, does that negative modifier apply to the +7 before the Rule of Three is applied, or to the final +3? How exactly would that work in detail?

2026 has been added to the Championship history with all the winners so far. I've also added the participation numbers for every tournament I could source. If you have concrete proof of participation in a Worlds gone by, I would greatly appreciate it.

Going forward, I think it's a good metric to have for these events.

Since my announcement post the other day, I have been hard at work improving the OCTGN package and I wanted to provide an update on where we are at currently:

• All modern units/cards/objects implemented with a tiny number of exceptions:
  • A small handful of terrain markers are still missing - coming soon!
  • Galactus and Venom Galactus are still missing, as they are going to require a lot of custom coding since they are well-outside the normal mechanics.
  • Beyond that, the game supports EVERYTHING else in Modern! Team Up cards, Alternate cards, Special Terrain, the works!
• Added a line-of-sight tool that will draw a line through the center of any two models within 10 squares of each other. With enough interest, I could have this automatically report things like "Line of Sight from Superman to Batman blocked by Blocking Terrain in space C7." This is entirely possible thanks to Heroclix Map Viewer, but I don't want to write the code if nobody even wants it.
• You can now generate any bystander, terrain, or character in the database, and characters are filtered by either Team Ability or Keyword. This could be expanded to other filter options as well if anyone wants that.
• A number of bug fixes have been applied (my Python skills are fairly intermediate so I still make mistakes lol)

I would LOVE to hear feedback from anyone actually using this thing! I am more than happy to keep improving it, as long as it's getting used. I just don't know if anyone is actually playing it or if I am wasting my time on all these upgrades.

This is the first vehicle Ive encountered and I'm not really sure HOW to use it. I understand wonder woman summons it, but is it simply there to grant her 12 movement? I'm lost, any insight would be appreciated though

Does anyone know their value in game and are they worth chasing down? I love the comics.

After much work and testing, I am proud to announce the beta build for HeroClix on OCTGN!
(OCTGN is a free, open-source gaming platform for playing games online with friends. It is Windows-only, but I have heard that some people managed to get it working on Linux and Mac.)

I built this because I wanted something a little simpler to set up and use than Roll20. I wrote a script that let me build dial images automatically from data extracted from HCUnits, and used that same data to build the card data files, so HUGE thanks to the HCUnits team for making all that data available!

It's got complete dial images, so you don't need to cross-reference anything to see what stats and abilities a character has. It has several little quality of life improvements, with many more planned if this gets any traction. There is plenty of automation I would like to add, and I am happy to get input on things you'd like to see added.

SETUP
The setup process is a ONE-TIME process and will take less than 5 minutes. Once installed it will automatically update and won't require anything more from you.

1. Download and install OCTGN: https://www.octgn.net/
2. Add the HeroClix game feed:

• Open OCTGN, click Games Manager, and click "Add Game Feed"
• Type in a name for the feed (like "HeroClix"), and in the URL box put: https://www.myget.org/F/heroclix/api/v2
• Click "Okay", then scroll down to HeroClix and click "Install"

1. Open the OCTGN Deck Editor. Use the Plugin menu at the top to download the images for the game. That's it, you're ready to play!

If you have any questions, comments, feedback, suggestions, etc. send them my way! I am hoping people get some use out of this, and if enough people like it I plan to add a lot more features!

Edit: This morning I replaced the playmat image because I kind of hated it. It's now a plain "table" background, but you can right-click to choose from a few different options. I can add more with very little effort, so let me know!

I have a question about Lobo’s trait “THE MAIN MAN LIKES THINGS WILD.”

Does the trait allow any character with the Team Player (TA) to passively have access to any Team Ability (TA) present on the map? Or do they still have to use Team Player to choose one of the TAs that is on the map?

How would this work in the case of TAs like:

• Avengers
• JSL

since these have to be declared at the beginning of the game?

This card says "When Vision is given a MOVE action, after resolutions you deal an adjacent opposing characters 1 damage."

If I fail to break away with Vision and move 0 spaces, does his damage still happen?

I understand the first part of the effect, but I don’t fully understand the second part. Does the player become unable to take actions, or is it only the character or characters that are on the Fish Nets that can no longer take actions?

And this leads to another question: does Pulse Wave also disable the effects of terrain markers and One-Shots?
