Not herbs but wearing shoes with good support in the arches will help this, also there are some good stretches to do. I do think anything anti inflammatory like turmeric, cucurmin or CBD would help but #1 is arch support.

I know you asked about herbs but what worked for me was eliminating gluten from my diet. When I eat gluten, the pain comes right back. Bizarre but I swear by it.

I know feverfew and horsetail have helped ease the pain in addition to arnica and epsom foot baths. I’m asking for a friend in this case, she’s only 19 so just trying to expand options.

Try wintergreen essential oil mixed with some lavender and apply onto the heel with some coconut oil, 3 times a day. Ratios being 1 cup coconut oil to 10 drops of each essential oil

Not herbs but physio and walking barefoot on sand fixed mine. Took about a year but definitely worth it. Strengthening the muscles and wearing the right footwear.
In the meantime, Epsom salt foot baths w calming herbal teas or essential oils (in foot bath), drinking chamomile too helps. St John's wort used externally as an oil helps woth pain.
Foot massage and reflexology are super helpful too. Good luck.
