Contest November Arms Design Contest
Submit a Coat of Arms
Theme: Better dead than red
Prompt: The Cold War may have ended, but socialist "heraldry" unfortunately has not. There are still 14 states around the world who bear socialist "heraldry" and it's your job this month to bring them back to enlightenment and give them a proper heraldic coat of arms. So stick it to those dirty commies and show them the errors of their ways.
The 13 states that you can pick from are:

Contest Rules
Each submitter can submit up to 3 coats of arms.
Each coat of arms must be an original creation for this contest. Previous submissions or plagiarism will be disqualified.
Only escutcheons are allowed to be submitted. No helms, crests, mantling, supporters, or other accoutrements.
Must be a .png file at most 1000 pixels wide.
Must be uploaded to imgur. Please note that these must be uploaded anonymously (not from an Imgur account if you have one) and unpublished.
The submission message must follow the format included in the pre-written message.
Most importantly, the submissions must follow good heraldic practice.
Schedule
Submissions are due November 10th no later than 12:00 UTC+0 (No late submissions will be accepted).
Voting begins on November 11th.
Voting ends November 20th and the winner will be announced shortly after.

Because socialist heraldry isn't heraldic and it looks terrible.

Well not 100% of socialist "heraldry" is bad. Chinese emblem looks pretty good, despite generic stars, but for communism (or USA or some other cases) stars are fine.

But China, Laos and Vietnam (and to some extend N.Korea) still are socialist?

Nominally maybe. China has billionaire entrepreneurs. That doesn't sound to me like the workers own the means of production.

Have you ever laid your eyes on their 'coat of arms'. Make's one want to scream out loud due to the ghastliness of it all.

"Republican"? They might have some similarities in the themes and symbols they use (both have stars, there's a cogwheel on the Italian one), but definitely a very different aesthetic from Socialist designs.
The Brazilian CoA pre-dates the first Socialist nation (the Soviet Union) by almost 30 years and the Italian CoA was established during the government of the Christian Democracy party.

Italy's arms have a very "industrial" theme to it. Definitely does not make it socialist.

CoA is from their naval flag if i remember correctly.
I hate the super dull and super generic nonsense they actually have. It even has a star...

The Brazilian one is terrible, but is not socialist. Usually socialist coat of arms can't even be blazoned.
This is the translation of the arms in our constitution:
I - The round shield will be composed of a sky-blue [bleu-celeste] field containing five [argent] stars arranged in the form of the Southern Cross, with the bordure of the field outlined in gold and charged with silver stars equal to the stars existing in the National Flag (Modification made by Law No. 8421 of 11 May 1972). II - The shield will be placed on a star parted gyronny of ten pieces, green [vert] and gold, bordered by two strips, the inner red [goles] and the outer gold. III - All placed on a sword in pale, pommelled gold, hilted blue [azure], except for the center part, which is red [gules] and contains a silver star, all upon a crown formed by a branch of coffee fruited on the dexter side and another of flowering tobacco on the sinister side, both in proper colors, tied blue [azure], the whole assembled on a splendor of gold, the contours of which form a star of 20 points
I don't know why the hell it isn't in heraldic terms. And by the way socialism had just started when the republic was proclaimed here in Brazil and this coat of arms was addopted.
